Clean renovated older home. We loved all the built in cabinetry in the bedrooms. Up to date kitchen with ample pots/pans/dishes for make family dinner. This home was a hidden gem with an open feel once you walk in the front door. The bedrooms are on the smaller side but more than enough space for couples. Very spacious bonus room upstairs perfect for hanging out with huge bean bag type chairs. We loved this house. Street parking but it wasnât a problem.
This home worked great for a quick reunion trip to WWU. Donât be deterred by the outside of the home. The inside is comfortable and clean. Amenities are basic but adequate. Living room and kitchen are quite spacious with a large dining table great for games or puzzles. Neighbors were delightful and kind. Parking is on the street, but we never had any problems finding a space.
Love the remodeled combination of very comfortable new, with the very functional and funky cabinets from times past left interspersed in the bedrooms and downstairs bath. The 2nd bathroom and extra space upstairs is great to have an additional area to spread out, stretch, have a separate workspace, or dance a little! I highly recommend this place - also great neighborhood and conveniently located near Haggins market on Meridian.
It was a pleasant stay at this home! The home is set up with all the basic needs for a short term rental -- kitchen supplies, good wifi, TV + living room space. A good option if you are looking for 2 bedrooms and 1 bath (the second bathroom was a ways away from the bedrooms, but helpful in a pinch). Note the 10AM CHECKOUT, if that's not your thing, they offer a late checkout for a fee.
I loved how big the house was once you got inside..the couch and chair in livingroom was soooo comfortable and the house was immaculate! The kitchen was well equipped and they even thought about plastic wrap/ziploc bags..etc. Beds comfy and neighborhood was cool and neighbors super nice. I would suggest a desk in case people come who work from home (like myself) or a bar stool for kitchen counter/workspace.
Great stay, nice, clean and newly remodeled which was a plus. Only things to note were that the entire upstairs living area was almost completely empty, only two bean bags and no coffee table, wall art, etc⊠and there was no sort of speakers/sound system anywhere. Overall not a big deal, just leaving a little more character to be desired!
The interior was very nice and clean. It is a charming home in a good location, easy to get downtown or to WWU. The lack of furniture and window treatments made the kitchen, upstairs, and upstairs bathroom less usable. Showering in the upstairs bathroom next to a window is a bit uncomfortable. House could provide a lot more livable/usable space if there was furniture upstairs or in the kitchen.
Beautifully appointed kitchen, however I would have been more comfortable with optional window coverings to use after dark. Also in the laundry room since you have to walk through to get to the bathroom. The web description should be edited to reflect that there is no patio. However, two chairs have been added to the front porch.
Very nice remodel. The day before checkin I mentioned on the phone to Vacasa that my daughter said grass was tall about 18â and needed th be cut. The reply was well somebody is staying there and they had not reported it. My daughter lives several blocks over and I would like to return but the outside needs to be cleaned up. It said patio but not sure where that was. Would like to have enjoyed the porch but not very inviting. We slept great and enjoyed the spacious areas in the house.
The location was great and kitchen was well stocked. We definitely appreciated that and that there were tons of towels. We also thought the interior was done quite well. During the day it was very comfortable in the house, but being summer, it was quite hot a couple of the nights as we were trying to sleep. We would have loved fans and lighter blankets. There is a strong mold/mildew smell somewhere in the house we could not place. I assume it is because the house is just very old. In addition, the outside has zero curb appeal. We also found that upper level of the house has no wifi. The kids brought video games and a computer monitor and when they set it all up, there was no wifi to play. Overall, it was a decent stay. Just a few things that could use a bit of attention.
I was very disappointed at the curb appeal of this home. When we pulled up, the house looked abandoned. The grass and weeds were at least 3â tall. I would guess it has not been mowed at all this season. I consider this an unacceptable condition for any property rental! Especially for the price of 2 nights.
I contacted Vacasa immediately and sent pictures. It seemed like they were going to get someone over to mow, but unfortunately my request went ignored and unresolved. We brought yard games and couldnât play. We were all very disappointed with the state of the exterior.
The inside of the house was great and well appointed. All the living room and dining room furniture was very comfortable and clean.
The upstairs is a total waste of space. This should be made into a master suite since it has the bathroom. Or perhaps a game room with a poker table, ping pong table, pool table?
Something to make the area usable for other than a pass thru to get to the 2nd bathroom.
The rooms got very hot during this stay (it was 78° outside!)
I would recommend supplying fans for guests to aid in cooling down the rooms to make for a more comfortable nights sleep. Also, the pillows were awfully hard and uncomfortable.
Overall we did enjoy the house but it could use some small tweaks to make it even better.
