The place is adequate and overall an ok experience. Itâs about time for a refresh of either the property or the pics of the property. The house had not been recently cleaned as expected. It seemed it had not been occupied for several weeks and this was confirmed by a member of property management that stopped by on our 1st day. We had to tighten screws/bolts in kitchen and bunk beds and clean up several dozen dead flies and spiders. Our youngest members (9 & 10) experienced multiple spider/bug bites. Ultimately we were there for time together over Thanksgiving and it was easier to deal with the disappointment than to try and move everyone or press the issue since our time was finite and we had activities planned.
There was very poor outside lighting. You have 3 steps to walk up then another 3 to get to the door, you could hardly see the steps due to the poor lighting. Also we were there in the winter & the decking was very slick. Itâs a beautiful deck but very slick. There were numerous stairs you have to climb just to get to the kitchen. You could drop off & unload but if you have more then 1 vehicle thatâs tough if the owner comes home because the driveway to unload was the same driveway the owner used to get into their garage so you had to keep your car on the lower floor. Overall it was a good place for us & we enjoyed our stay. Any issues we had were addressed right away, which was great.
Great location very usable comfortable home owner very accommodating ! Our group got a little rowdy and she could have asked us to leave ( huge apologies ) thank you so much! Much recommended
Overall we loved our stay, the place had plenty of room, was in a great location in nature but only 15 mins from downtown. Cleanliness could definitely be better, itâs surface clean but could definitely use a deep clean. We also had an issue accessing the hot tub the first night, instructions were not correct and we didnât get a response until the following morning.
Accommodating and convenient to convention center as along as you have a vehicle. Quiet and a nice setting with great sunrises. Worked out fairly well with our large group. The Hot tub on the deck was a nice asset.
A bigger coffeemaker than 2 cups would be nice. Two cups per run for a large group in the morning is tough⊠Also a short section of garden hose would be great to assist in cleaning up your Mountain Bikes as the Bend area has some great trails! With some ending only ~1.5 miles by road from the house.
Iâd go back there if I was traveling with a large group again.
Our stay overall was great! Finding out the day before we stayed, that there was a 10pm quiet time wasnât. We were told there are noise sensors in and around the house which was odd. We werenât planning to go crazy and neighbors werenât close by. Wish this info was in the listing.
Hi,
I'm just double checking to make sure you've received your check in instructions and also to remind you that this home is in a residential neighborhood and is equipped with noise sensors throughout the home. We expect all guests to practice the good neighbor policy by not going in the hot tub after 10 pm and observe Bend's noise ordinance of no noise after 10pm. If the noise sensors are triggered you will get a phone call from us. There are extra sheriff's patrol units out and the owner also lives on property. If you have any questions, please let us know.
Jessica - Arrived
Private home in quiet neighborhood close to attractions of Bend. The layout is good for family groups but the house does have lots of stairs so not desirable for people with mobility issues. Overall it is a nice house.
Arrived to the house in a balmy 105 degrees to a house that had insufficient A/C to cool that size house to any survivable temperature and had one small fan that had the power of a butterflies wings. The refrigerator leaked and flooded the kitchen throughout our stay. The temperature never got below 90 degrees in the house with zero relief anywhere. The hot tub was locked shut (not that we wanted to use it). Any time we would try and hang outside of the house to try and get some semblance of relief from the heat I would receive messages from the property management company telling us the police had been called for noise complaints or that we were being too loud. Back inside to the seventh circle of hell would have to remain. The group did not sleep more than a total of about 4 hours a piece over a 4 day period, with roughly 6 ânoise complaintsâ. The management company sent out a maintenance person to look at the AC and did not work on it, simply told us to keep the doors and windows shut but that did nothing to remedy the problem. Overall, about as miserable as it gets. Iâll probably come back and stay in the winter though! :)
