The breakfast was great. I liked the variety of milks they had; we could choose from normal milk, lactose free milk, oat milk and almond milk. The facility seemed not new but well maintained and the room was clean. I also liked the location. The u-Bahn station was only a few minutes’ walk and we can walk to the places like Checkpoint Charlie and Topography of terror. I also liked the view from the window because there used to be the wall on the Zimmerstraße just in front of the hotel. That made me imagine the era that Berlin was divided. Just pay attention to the frozen pavement when you walk on the Zimmerstraße in the winter!

Room was clean. Towels soft and bed very comfortable. Besides bathroom basics of soap, tissue and toilet paper, there was nothing else. No kettle or coffee, no toiletries at all. The bathroom mirror was big but about a meter away because the sink and ledge were about a meter deep. No vanity mirror that can be pulled close but the full length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door helped make up for it. The double doors to open for fresh air was nice. We were facing the street but it was really quiet. Had a really good sleep on both nights. Good location as very close to key tourist sites but on a quiet road. Johnny’s bar on the Friday night was great fun! Highly recommend.
