Lovely property

As a multi-generational family, we were thrilled with our rental. Plenty of space to spread out; a room for our jigsaw puzzles, separate den, gathering and dining spaces ... wrap-around and screened in porches. An extra bonus was the upstairs suite with Jacuzzi and the outdoor, enclosed shower. Walking distance to beach and center of town. The free trolley stopped around the corner; our teens enjoyed biking several miles.

Beautiful House, Really Bad Experience

Truth be told, the house is beautiful. It was spacious, and accommodated our group of 13 exceptionally. We arrived the first night and were blown away and really looking forward to enjoying the weekend there. Upon waking up in the morning, we unfortunately encountered bed bugs. What was maddening was that the management company knew that this was occurring, but deemed the place clean (after some inspection) and ready after having some "treatment" during the weeks prior. According to the property managers, the mattress was deemed clear in that room. Needless to say, when two of the guests woke up in the morning to bugs on them and blood marks on the mattress, sheets, and their shirts, they were not amused. And neither was I. These are the options that the property manager offered: 1. Have someone come to treat it again and be out of the house for a while. 2. Seal off the room and use another room if possible (???) 3. Get a full refund. They had no other property to move us to. The company made ZERO effort to help accommodate my party. But didn't hesitate to tell me how much the owner had invested into trying to resolve the bed bug issue--after first asking if the bugs were alive or dead. Don't get me wrong, the people on the phone were nice, but I don't think they understood the gravity of having bed bugs in all of your stuff. They did stop to let me know that if we saw bugs, they were probably in the process of dying after having undergone treatment -- as you can imagine, we did not feel better. Needless to say, we got out of there as fast as we could. Courtesy and thanks for letting us wash and dry our clothes. Offering me my money back is the absolute bare minimum that this company could have done. So credit where its due. And I feel sorry for the owner. The house is beautiful, but this was a disaster in management in the highest order.

Well layed out and well equipped. Did have two family members hampered all week with welts from some insects? Noting in case this is a repeat of any past guests at this house. Couple both used the “loft” bedroom.

Family Beach Trip

We're seasoned renters in Bethany, and the house did not disappoint. This was our first time renting west of Route 1, but the walk to the beach and into town was easy and safe. House is on the trolley route if you aren't up for the walk! The open main level is very spacious, with lots of room for family to gather. The master bedroom is as spectacular as the pictures let on. Kitchen was small for a group of our size. Rental company called us when the house was ready earlier than the posted check-in time, and responded promptly when we needed some assorted lightbulbs.

Great beach rental!

My family and I just stayed for 3 nights and we all enjoyed the house! It was spacious for 10 adults + 5 kids and was very clean when we arrived. A few minute walk to the beach was easy and safe with a pedestrian crosswalk. I was happy to find an extra fridge in the garage which we used for drinks. We used the grill one night with no issues. We all loved the outdoor shower. Lots of different spaces and plenty of room for everyone.

Great beach house!!!!

This place was VERY spacious, close to the beach, clean and fit 16 of our friends and family perfectly. The outdoor deck and yard was perfect to relax on and play games. We walked to the Bethany boardwalk and it was an easy 10 minute walk which was very convenient! It is obvious it is a rental as there were some scuffs on the walls and the furniture was dated but that’s not something we look for or care about so it was absolutely perfect for us! Just make sure you bring paper goods, coolers, beach chairs, toilet paper, hand soup etc as the place was not very stocked with those things. We went early in the season so I assume people leave these things throughout the summer for the next renters. Overall we had the best time and would book here again!!!!

The place was exactly as it was listed, very clean. There’s a lot of space for bigger groups and can walk to the beach. The place was perfect for our trip with a group of friends!

Overall good, but could have been cleaner

Overall, this is a good rental. Great location (10 min walk to beach, gotta cross Route 1 though), plenty of parking, lots of space to spread out, ground level locking storage room and second refrigerator, quiet development, easy comms with rental agency The main downside we experienced was in cleanliness. It either was not cleaned at all before we came in or was done in a rush and not thorough. Food was left behind and coffee maker had moldy grounds and filter in it. Also, the grill needs attention. It worked fine (bring your own grill tools), but the grease trap was never cleaned and grease leaked all over the deck. Also, the wifi wasn't reliable and the TV didn't get signal. Bring your blackout shades as two bedrooms face east and get very early and bright sun in the summer. I would rent the place again. If they address the cleanliness issue, which I assume they will, this place is a 9/10.

Lots of Space

This was a great place with lots of space. We had 15 total in our family gathering ranging from 1 year old to 77 years old (4 generations). We really enjoyed the layout of the home. There were plenty of places to spread out and not feel cramped. The managing company was quick to respond and make sure we had everything we needed. The owners were wonderful and helpful as well. It is only 3 blocks from the beach - walking distance. Highly recommend this home for your next family get together!!
