Relaxing Getaway with Friends

What a wonderful place for a relaxing and beautiful low key getaway with friends! The condo is well stocked, super clean, has a community pool and is just a short walk to the water. We spent 4 nights here and would love to come back! Highly recommend!! Betterton is a sweet retreat for a quiet vacation- very safe. The sunsets there are gorgeous. We enjoyed the community pool (had it all to ourselves!) - the pool is located behind the other set of condos above the marina. We shopped and ate in cute Chestertown (20 min drive) and enjoyed a nice dinner out at the restaurant at Kitty Knight Inn in Galen/Georgetown (20 min drive). Accommodations at the condo were comfortable, communication with owners was easy and we were surprised at how well stocked the condo was. Truly a wonderful trip!

Betterton 24

Lovely stay at this Betterton Beach property. The convenience of having so many essentials at your finger tips helped make this a great stay. Providing towels, sheets, soap, paper products, spices, coffee and condiments along with beach gear is a great touch. The property has a lovely view of the bay. The location was convenient with easy access to the beach. Enjoyed staying at this comfortable home, found the decor intriguing. Owners were very responsive.

Charming condo

The condo was nicely decorated and comfortable, Except for the bunkbeds. The bunkbeds are probably great for kids, but we had an adult sleeping in one of them and, Despite the wider width, The mattress was not comfortable for a heavier body. A massive amount of little bugs made sitting outside in the dark Difficult. Kitchen was very well equipped and bathrooms Were lovely. There is not much around Betterton Beach, except the beach, which is on the river. The compound had a pool, but it was not open during our stay, due to problems with the water quality. We did go to Annapolis one day, Rockhall, And Chestertown other days. But we did leave one day early as Two days on the beach seemed to be plenty And the pool was not open.

The condo is everything we expected, clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The beach and fishing pier are nice as well. The best part is the owner, Steven is prompt, accommodating, and kind. My son and I had a great time over the Labor Day weekend, we would recommend this condo wholeheartedly.

Beautiful property and location!

We stayed at Steve & Jeanie’s condo for part of the week in July and it was excellent. The communication from them was great and everything in the condo was spelled out and labeled. They provided cutlery, plates, cookware, cleaning supplies, basic toiletries, etc. It was a very well appointed property! The town of Betterton consists mainly of the beachfront and the condo was very close by. We used some of the many beach toys they provided and everyone had a great time at the beach. The pool is also easy to get to but is a little bit of a walk. We ordered pizza and steaks from the pizza place and all was very good. Overall a great property in a very quiet beach town! Great hosts and a great experience!

Great Getaway

A lovely place to unwind, enjoy a slower pace, and renew an appreciation for Chesapeake Bay and Maryland's Eastern Shore. We found a home away from home, with all the comforts and necessities for a week at this historic bayside resort where there is scant nearby shopping. Owners have thought of everything, even the little details like sunscreen, a map and history of the area, paper products, beach chairs and umbrellas, detailed guest expectations so that this well designed and nicely decorated condo can remain well maintained and clean for all. We especially enjoyed electric grill and dining on our deck with views of the Bay, daily chats with the Park Supervisor at Betterton Beach, short trips to Chestertown for history and ice cream, and to Rock Hall for seafood. Sunset at the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge with eagles and red winged blackbirds was a lovely end to a day of exploring. Friendly locals, no crowds, no traffic, no mini-golf, no jelly-fish, and the occasional barge, sailboat, fishing trawler, in view. Perfect place to restore and recharge. Hoping to return soon. Thank you, Steve and Jeannie for making your lovely Betterton home available on VRBO.

Beautiful and relaxing with all amenities

We had a fabulous week in Betterton at this property. The condo is very clean and comfortable. The decor made the place feel warm and relaxing - which is exactly what we hoped for. Its equipped with everything we needed - including sharp knives. Loved that we did not need to supply dish soap, etc. We enjoyed walking along the beach and exploring local small towns, winery, etc. We enjoyed many meals on the deck, loved that the master suite opened to the deck and that we could see the beach/water from the property. Steven was incredibly responsive (within 5-10 mins). But we had zero problems. I’d put this up as one of the most comfortable VRBO rentals we have ever stayed in. If you are looking for a place by the water away from the bustle - this is it. While we did not use the beach toys - there were plenty to make a family happy too!

Ultimate relaxation

My boyfriend and I stayed at this condo in early October and really enjoyed the condo and the surrounding area. The condo is very well-appointed, well decorated and very cozy and clean. Really appreciated the keurig coffee machine! The owners are great to communicate with and were very understanding when we had to change our check-in date at the last minute. Chestertown is a very cute town about 20 minutes away. Lovely farmers market on Saturday morning, and we ate at both Figg's Ordinary (all gluten-free) and Cafe Sado (Thai fusion cusine) during the course of our stay. In town of Betteron where condo is located, we enjoyed peaceful walks and watching the sunrise/sunset. You won't be disappointed if you decide to stay here!
