The room & staff were fine. Not fine is that my receipt says we paid for a free breakfast as an "included amenity" when per the guests guide in the room that only applies to bookings from 2024. Worse, it's STILL shown as an included amenity on hotels.com, more than 1 year after it became no longer available. I left a hotels.com message with The Plough on 4 Feb 2026 advising them, but have not had the courtesy of a response. We didn't receive several hundred pounds worth of breakfast during our 20 day stay, so we're quite unhappy
Property was great. Welcoming staff, great food. Only slight issue was that Expedia hadnât communicated with the property about the breakfast inclusion. Not a problem for us, the staff were really helpful, but not great from Expedia.
The lady who greeted us and bar staff were very polite and friendly. Food was excellent. Room were ok, not in our opinion boutique, but quirky.Yes the beds are very squeaky. Rooms could possibly could benefit from a little TLC. Saying that the price and location to Bicester village was the reason we booked. The only other thing is the confusion over breakfast included. This could be an error of the hotel or the website. Nether the less, breakfast is not included.
I booked the small room and was surprised how spacious and comfortable it is. Itâs a very old building, room is well appointed and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast delivered to room each morning was convenient and delicious.
Great location for Bicester Village. Extremely short walk from train station.
Room clean and incredibly comfortable.
Check in is at the bar and it was no problem, staff v helpful.
Our stay at The Plough was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, there was a wide range of bar snacks and food. The meal we had at the restaurant, and breakfast were first class. But the most amazing experience was the wonderful service we had from Sean and the rest of the team. It was a brilliant stay and we can't wait to go back.
All good free parking 2 min walk into town were other pubs with sky for football restaurants shops etc room very clean room 5 a bit compact but fine
Service was excellent from the bar staff and breakfast staff breakfast was severed from 8 but because i needed to be away let me have mine at 7 30 am reallly good
Pub downstairs cosy and with a wide range of food and beer i would stay again thank you
Great pub, great breakfast. Room quite small and cosy but more than adequate for an overnight stay, plenty of piping hot water, a good shower and big fluffy towels. Both plug sockets either side of the bed also had usb charge points. I would happily stay here again.
The Plough has new management, it is â tiredâ but a staff member told us it was going to be renovated. It was super convenient for our needs on this trip. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included and a few options were offered.
This might be the friendliest place in England! Great afternoon in the bar watching rugby, nice dinner, decent wine, comfy bed fab breakfast. A lovely find.
