Double booking nightmare

I had booked this property for my husband‘s 40th birthday only to find out that it was double booked. We had no idea which cabin was ours so we knocked on the door only to be greeted by a really upset woman slamming the door in our face who is currently staying there which we confirmed after finally getting a hold of the owner after hours of frustrations who told us too bad contact virbo which we did only to be on hold for 3 hours getting nothing resolved and no refund. I will never use this site again it caused a 5 hour chaotic day to what was supposed to be a bday celebration..

Disappointed

Nice location but the listing wasn’t clear on which cabin was ours on the reservation. The onsite cleaning lady although didn’t speak English was very helpful. Once we found our cabin the smell inside was pretty rough old mildew urine type smell. We opened the windows and made due. At night some critter was running around in the attic and bathroom walls all night it even made a hole in the ceiling above the tub. So needless to say we didn’t get much sleep on the mattress that was was too soft. Would not recommend

Place needs improvement

The location and size is great, this place has a lot of potential but it needs a lot of attention. It needs a deep clean. For example there was a lot of cob webs, the chairs outside were very dusty, those details matter. The bed is sinking in the middle. Also the place needs a lot of repairs, for example there was a loose floor plank, and the bathroom door is coming apart. The coffee station is not appealing. Overall this could be a great little place but it appears no attention has been given to it in a lot of years. I say this things not to criticize but rather because it has so much potential.

Absolutely terrible !

I had reserved this place two months in advance. When I first arrived and walked into the place it smelt horrendous. I had a candle lit all day from 5:00 pm to 9:30 am the next day. It still smelt repulsive. There were big spiderwebs at every single corner of the room. The bed had an awful stench as well luckily I had brought my own sheets! There was also hair on the bed and trash underneath the bed. They did not clean the room at all!!! There is a big open hole in the roof where animals are up there staying. I could barely get any sleep. It sounded like there were rats running all around the roof all night! The sounds lasted from 9:00pm till the time we woke up which was 7:00 am. I also found two little doors that open in the bathroom and there were rat feces everywhere! It sounded like there were rats in the shower as well just scratching the surface. There’s a big jacuzzi bath and a nail sticking out of it!! My boyfriend got cut by the nail! Their wood floor paneling was coming up from the floor. I do not recommend coming here to stay! Will never come back to this location again!!!

Property was not clean. Restroom smelled like urine, sheets smelled like they'd hadn't been washed for months. Worst of all, there were rodents, big ones in the attic. Both nights were filled with loud scratching, banging and tapping. Not a pleasant stay unfortunately.

The host, Kim, made me feel like an idiot. There were 7 other customers trying to get into their cabin and none of us had instructions given to us. The driveway was under construction and we were not notified so we had to figure out an alternate route on our own. That was an unnecessary challenge. All the host had to do was tell us. When we FINALLY got into the property it was 50 degrees with NO working heater available. The portable one we were told to use, didn't work. It was freezing at 3 pm. I told Kim we couldn't stay. She told me to cancel the reservation. I tried and was unable since it was after (45 minutes) the official checkin. I asked her to cancel and give me a refund. Thank God, we have a credit card and moved to a much better and cheaper place 2 miles away. I reached out to Kim 6x. She has not responded to me for 2 weeks. I am trying to get a refund through my bank/credit card. The pictures associated with this property are FALSE. It is a dump. Don't go there. Marisa

Need new mattress

Me and my husband were booked 2 night trip at this place. The place was nice and easy to find. It’s nice cozy cabin we were love it, until we went to bed. The mattress was so old, soft and not steady at all. We were trying to sleep on the floor too but it didn’t work. So we were staying only one night the place and left early.

Perfect Experience

We love staying here! This is our second year staying here in May for the Spartan race. It is very close to snow summit. It’s clean. Has great amenities. Perfect cabin stay. Highly recommend.

Perfect Cabin Getaway

I loved how close this location is to town. We could walk places for food and fun. The cabin itself was perfect for a little weekend getaway, clean and comfortable. With the windows open, the ambiance was so nice, we even stayed in sometimes to enjoy it.

This unit has RATS!!! Be aware

Be AWARE!!! This unit has RATS! We stayed for one night and were woken up and forced to leave the unit at 4am due to rats in our bag and eating our food that we brought for our trip. There were Rat droppings that littered the area, which we overlooked when initially checking in and assumed as dirt and debris. We informed the Host Kim and Tim who offered to compensate us for the inconvenience of having to leave abruptly as a result of their Rat infested unit. It has been over a week and the host has not communicated back or compensated us as agreed upon. I have pictures of the Rat droppings and our snacks that were chewed through. I also have the correspondence from the host where they agreed to fully compensate us. For this reason I WOULD NOT stay at this location for two reasons, 1) The host is not responsive or take responsibility for the health and safety of their guest and 2) being exposed to Rats and their fecal droppings.

I could not find the property at first time but customer service helped me connect with owner. Finally I can get into the lodge. Jacuzzi is great and functional. Have a relax night after snowboarding.

Perfect Couples Retreat

My husband and I loved our little getaway. Stayed in the room - enjoying the winter wonderland most days, but loved the one night of walking around the town. It's a small space but the jacuzzi and fireplace were perfect. There isn't a lot of room for storage and we would love to see a slightly bigger TV mounted on wall for more space on counter for food/etc. Nevertheless, we would go back in a HEARTBEAT and will!! Looking forward to another mini-trip this summer. We have never gone into the main B&B house and wonder details about that. Are there any other amenities in thee? It is so beautiful. Thank you for the great memories EAGLES NEST!

The location is nice and close to bear Mtn for Mtn. Bike Riding and Skiing. Unit is tired and needs a complete overhaul. Large Jacuzzi in room takes way to much space. Good price but you get what you pay for..

Whispering Pines Cabin

The cabin was just like the listing and photos. It was small and older but it was just my husband and I and we were out and about most of the time exploring. We loved how quiet and private the Eagles community was! Everyone staying there at the time we were was very nice and friendly and we even made a friend out of our stay! We don't have any complaints about our stay. Thank you!
