Absolutely loved staying here! Really cool, historic home, beds were super comfortable, neighborhood was nice and quiet. We all enjoyed our stay here and we'll definitely be booking again.
Like many old homes, some outlets and fans do not work and doors don't close, but I generally love a historic home and this one is really lovely. The location was perfect for our needs and it was comfortable with strong air conditioning which was greatly appreciated by us yankees who thought we knew humidity.
This property was perfect for our group of college buddies getting together to catch up. The house is very spacious, and the common areas, which includes a pool table, are great for just hanging out. The hosts were very responsive before and during our stay. The location is very convenient to many things in Birmingham. We look forward to booking again in the future!
Had a golf trip with 3 buddies. Our hosts were great, very responsive with any questions. Each room was spacious. We enjoyed the old Victorian style house. Right in the middle of UAB.
I hosted a dinner party for my husband. The house had a lot of character as well as the neighborhood. The view of Vulcan was beautiful! The rooms were huge and roomy. The decor met the historic aspect of the neighborhood. The pool table was a nice bonus. I wish the bathroom couldâve been cleaned better but all in all I would recommend this place. A few minor updates would make this place absolutely perfect!
We wanted a large, easily accessible house for my sonâs wedding weekend. Nice open floor plan for chatting. As an older home, there were a few quirks, including plug access, but all very workable. Cute place for photos and access around Birmingham.
This house has so much character and weâll decorated. Location was great with a short 10min drive to everywhere we wanted to go. The hosts were so accommodating - helping with a special request we made (thank you so much for that shower chair! It was a huge help!) and making a minor fix needed right away. Communication was great!
Perfect location and accommodations for our out of town family to be together for our sonâs graduation from Samford University. This home has so much character. The historic neighborhood is charming and quiet. Our favorite spot was gathering on the front porch swing and catching a glimpse of the Vulcan all lit up at night. Ps.. We had the opportunity to meet Kelsey. She gave us a tour of the home next door which is being renovated to host accommodations and events. These 2 properties will make for a unique event venue!
The house was clean, the check-in and communication with the property owner was flawless. If ever in Birmingham and need a 4 bedroom house...this is the one.
Came to Birmingham for a golf trip and had a very enjoyable time at the property. Close to several courses we played at and not far from restaurants/ nightlife. Great house with a lot of charm and character.
Great house. Comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend for groups that are enjoying the Birmingham area. Corey was very flexible in the check in/out process
Since itâs an older home, there are not enough outlets. The shower in one of the bathrooms doesnât have an adequate shower curtain to keep the water in the tub. The shower in the other bathroom is really high and has a detachable shower head but unless you are 6â tall you canât reach it. The neighborhood is a little sketchy with the house next door having bars in their windows, but with that being said nothing scary happened. The house is decorated very well and is big enough for a large group but be sure to pay attention to the extra guest charge!! Youâre only allowed 1 person staying there and then you are charged $75 for each additional guest. :/
