The staff was pretty nice. It’s in a convenient location.
The room however, had a horrible smell to it. Extremely harsh cleaners mixed with the smell of urine. There were stains everywhere. On the bedding, sofa, floors etc.
Probably due to do the humidity and bad filtration, the ceramic floors were wet and slippery. The carpet portion felt damp. I would wipe the ceramic only to have it slippery again in less than an her.
The pool was green with what looked like algae.
I’d recommend looking at their Yelp reviews before booking.

Bathroom corners need cleaning… receptionist on phone, texting, her friend and her holding conversation if I am not standing there, no coffee , no greeting
We arrived late and the lafy at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. She made check in easy and her customer service is top tier. The room was clean and breakfast was good. If i come back to Birmingham Ill be staying here again.
We liked the room and being on the first floor since we had two dogs with us. We found plenty of places nearby for supper and a bit of shopping. We would prefer a room HVAC that allowed more steady airflow instead of the strong cycling on and off in order to control humidity a bit better. A guide on how to get to e.g. The Summit without dealing with US-280 would be helpful for new travelers, but we did figure this out. We were visiting places in Mountain Brook and the Highland area in Birmingham and found the location convenient.

The property to was nice. Unfortunately the air unit in our room was not working and we were not able to get another room because we were told that house keeping was off for the holiday.
Check-in was done very well. Down hill after that. Next morning, a Tuesday, we were met with no hot breakfast because teenagers had eaten it all "last week." One would assume that local management would have addressed that situation. There are grocery stores nearby. Second failure was upon returning after a long hot day and finding the room had not been cleaned, beds unmade, no fresh towels or cups.
Far below the standard of a Hampton Inn.

Your system registered me for a stay I did not make and cost me $160. You layed it off o t he hotel and are not being my advocate. The hotel manager will not speak to me. You suck

Wide gap between door and door frame. Door was damaged on the outside. We could hear talking from another room in the bathroom. Lounge was very noisy in the evening due to people watching TV.
Always have a good stay here, 0 hassle checking in or out, rooms are what we are familiar with and clean, usually fairly recently redone.

Ac fan too loud. Door to back parking lot was broken, so it was either left ajar or firmly stuck closed. Looks like ac units had been taken to the back of the motel for cleaning and repair.
Employees were pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again.
