Good small retreat for a family of four. Kitchen have all you need for cooking a meal. A small cabinet for the bathroom and a small nightstand next to main bedroom would have been a nice touch. Wish was more adapted for a disable person. My biggest down is: If you have asked us to clean up beds, kitchen and floors at least make the check out by 11:00 am. Getting up early and rush to do chores the last day or even the night before is not the most thing I wish for in a vacation time. Overall a good place.

Loved the cabin & the fireplace. It took awhile to heat up, but sitting in front of the fireplace in January? Awesome! We stayed in one of the chalets & it was cozy, although small! But the kitchen had a crockpot, a nice set of dishes, pots, pans, etc. We another couple staying in the upstairs (there are 4 units per chalet), & it was mostly quiet, except for a few minor noises. Otherwise, the complex was very quiet & peaceful. we enjoyed our stay, so close to many activities!!

Units are more like apartments with thin walls and ceilings, and too noisy and on top of each other. Had a hard time sleeping, hanging out and relaxing with all the noise from upstairs neighbors and neighbors to each side of our units. Wanted a serene cabin experience but it felt like we were in a crowded downtown urban environment.

The property is in an excellent location close to Tweetsie and Appalachian Ski Mountain. It was clean and tidy with basic amenities. Comfy couch and bed. The advertisement was a bit misleading as we thought we were renting a cabin on the property. However, it turned out to be a “unit” in a quadraplex. Ours was on the ground floor. There was little insulation to reduce sound and we could hear every creak from the upstairs neighbors. We were excited to have a fireplace with gas logs. However, the logs did not work. The office was closed on Saturday so we did not pursue maintenance as we were too busy having fun skiing, riding the Christmas train at Tweetsie, and visiting Boone. Overall, good location and price.

We stayed during the winter after a recent snowfall. The check in process was very easy. Staff very helpful. Cabin was slightly chilly to start. It took a while to warm up the cabin. Once it did it was comfortable. Had some issues with the fireplace and sofa, to which staff was already aware of and had arrangements made for replacements a few days later. Not tons of cell phone service in cabin. Overall, I think we got what we payed for.

The cabin was great! The only thing that could have made it better is if the heat was on prior to checking in. It felt about 40-50 degrees when we arrived and took nearly four hours to warm up to 65 degrees.
