What a view ! Right above the river just like the picture presents .great deck to sit and listen to the river run by .Cute cottage and the A.C appreciated as we stayed on some hot august days .
Very enjoyable and relaxing. We spent 90% of our time on the covered porch watching rafters drift by, the ducks navigate the current, butterflies float by, while talking and reading our books. The sound of the river is magnificent so sleeping with the bedroom window open was lovely... Until however the neighbor across the river decided to start mowing his/her lawn @0700 on Saturday morning. No-see-ems came out in force at night with the porch lights on. With just the string lights it was fine, but not the porch lights. We were blessed with a full moon called a sturgeon moon. You can see it from the picture attached. What an experience!Couch was less than comfortable to sit on long term. The mattress on the bed itself was comfortable, although there was something in the whole bed system (box spring, mattress, frame) that made the nights sleep with two people louder than we are used to. My wife reported that when I rolled over she would bounce enough, waking her up (I'm 6'1" & 220#, she's 5'8" and less than 220#). The cabin was clean, tidy and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed , but only large enough for one person working. There was hot water aplenty and I drank the water out of the spout without issue. The forks, although very on theme, were like pitch forks and made eating salad more challenging. Overall, we plan to return (we'll just bring our own forks ).
Lovely place. Right at waters edge and rockers on the large deck. Nice to have 2 Adirondack chairs in the sun when you want the warmth. Wish it wasn't more expensive than other cabins next door.
We had an incredible time staying at the river house. The proximity to the river was amazing and we really enjoyed all the sights and sounds of the river.
Had a great time there. Loved the setting, right along the river. The unit is cute - decorated in a forest, fishing theme. The kitchen had what we needed and the bed was comfortable. Thanks for renting it out.
We had a great time for the 4th of July weekend. We needed to get away from the crazy fireworks in Redmond, and this was the perfect peaceful spot. The place has everything you need to enjoy a getaway. The property is located in a great spot and in very good condition.
My wife and I stayed here for a few days during the July 4th. It was a beautiful, quaint cabin. Lots or ornate decorations and a very homey feel to it. We loved the original windows, screen doors, etc. It had the modern amenities but most of the charm was in its decoration and original details. The porch was fantastic. We cant wait to comeback. Thank You.
Thank you so much for this wonderful stay! The place was spotless and arranged nicely. My wife and I fished the mckenzie and celebrated our 25th anniversary. We cannot have asked for a better place to stay. We appreciate it so much!
Beautiful setting, ON the river just like it looks. Sounded great both day and night. Nearby hikes, walks, Lake, etc.. but you may end up mesmerized just sitting on the deck.Easy check-in / out ... quick responses if asked. Great time.
Lovely old charm cottage that was perfectly located for our relaxing, walking, and solitude along the beautiful river.the back porch was a great spot throughout our mornings and into the evening.
Calm, cozy and quaint could describe our quick getaway. With the deck ON the river, whatâs not to like? Tho the kitchen is tiny, itâs well appointed. Fireplace is lovely for ambiance tho not heat. Grateful for the mini splits heat. Comfy bed. We will be back!!!
our stay at the river house was wonderful, it was so nice being right on the river. we had everything we needed and Jonathan was communicative and helpful. definitely would come back again!
Weâve stayed in this cabin many times and love it. It is comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and just watching the river. Iâm sure weâll be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River House. Comfortable furniture, well stocked kitchen, and of course, the perfect accompaniment of the river right outside. The deck is every bit as inviting as the photos portray, even in January! We look forward to staying here again in the future.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the River house. Visiting our daughter who lives in Eugene, this was the perfect get away. Description was perfect. View was amazing from the heated porch! Will stay here again.
The house was in the perfect location for us, between Blue Pool trailhead and Terwilliger hot springs. The cabin was charming and cozy! Kitchen was just big enough for us to prepare basic meals which was perfect for our weekend. We also enjoyed the spacious bathroom and the sound of the river running outside the bedroom. The riverside front porch with a heater above rocking chairs for comfort was incredible. The leaves were changing while we stayed and the view was absolutely gorgeous. There were some issues with fireplace but the host was very responsive. Other than that one issue, our stay was great and it was a perfect location for a girls' river weekend! Lattes and breakfast croissants at the nearby McKenzie River General Store were amazing and great fuel for exploring the area.
