We’re thrilled to have you stay at our eco retreat, and we want to make sure you have a comfortable and memorable experience while also respecting the natural surroundings.
Please take a moment to review a few important guidelines to ensure a smooth stay:
· Guest Authorization: A maximum of four guests as per listing description.
· No smoking or vaping on the property: For the comfort and safety of all guests, smoking is strictly prohibited on the property.
· Septic Tank System: Our property runs on a septic tank system, so we ask that you please be mindful of what goes down the sink and toilet. Absolutely no tissues, excessive toilet paper, or sanitary products should be flushed, as they can cause blockages. Please dispose of these items in the provided bins.
· BBQ Cleaning: If you use the BBQ during your stay, we kindly ask that you clean it thoroughly after use with the cleaning products provided. This helps us maintain the BBQ for future guests. If the BBQ is not cleaned, a $30 cleaning fee will be charged.
· Firewood: Please feel free to use the firewood as needed to stay cosy, and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace. We also have a heat pump available for use during the day if you prefer a more consistent temperature. Being mindful of how much firewood you use helps us ensure we have enough to last through the winter months. We absolutely want you to feel warm and comfortable during your stay!
Cleaning and Checkout: To assist our cleaners and help us keep cleaning fees to a minimum, we kindly ask that you leave the property clean and tidy. Please:
o Place all rubbish in the appropriate bins: Recycling should be compacted as much as possible, and general waste should be placed in the provided plastic bags before going into the bins. Strictly no loose items in the general waste bin.
o Wipe down the stove and benches after use.
o Wash dishes and pack them away in the cupboards.
o Report any damages or broken items so we can replace them for future guests. Please note that some items may incur a small replacement charge.
· Respect for Nature & Neighbours: As a gentle reminder, please stick to the designated tracks when exploring the bush and refrain from wandering up to the house or onto neighbouring properties. We also ask that you respect our no pets policy and keep noise levels down, especially after 8pm, to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone, including our lovely neighbours.
Please note: The Bothy is accessed via a private road and a shared driveway. Drive slowly and cautiously to ensure the safety of pedestrians and wildlife. Parking, standing, or waiting is not permitted in the shared driveway.
We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us preserve the beauty and tranquillity of the property. Should you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
