Friendly staff. Professional check in with warm chocolate chip cookies. Comfortable large clean rooms with microwave and refrigerator. Love the displayed artwork throughout hotel, outdoor pool and Sandbar al fresco dining with live music. On the river walk path to stroll, bike and people watch. Dog friendly and we loved seeing all the traveling pups. Our go to for visits to our Boise State daughter.

The location is perfect, which is right next to the Boise river greenbelt. The restaurant next to the pool is also good. We enjoyed the food and live music. Breakfast has a lot of options, and is open until 11am! Will definitely stay there next time visiting the area.

Driving Daughter to CSU

Driving our daughter to CSU from Kent, WA. Had 2 cars full of important items and 3 people. Boise was our first stop after an 8 hour drive! We so appreciated the outdoor pool, party vibe, fun bar with live music and restaurant! Bartender made delicious cocktails and the live music was really good!

This hotel advertises itself as handicap accessible, and while it does offer minimally accessible guest rooms, the common area is old and outdated and lacks modern accessibility features. There are just two elevators for the entire hotel, one located near the front desk and another located at the other end of this sprawling property. There is thick carpeting throughout the hotel, including the so-called handicap accessible guest rooms. When I arrived and checked in, I was given a second floor room and given a circuitous route for my wheeled luggage cart. After pushing the cart on the route for 10 minutes, including an elevator ride and winding carpeted hallways, I arrived at a set of stairs that there was no way around and had to return to the front desk, for a first floor room reassignment. This hotel was built at least 50 years ago and does not comply with federal ADA guidelines.

This was our 2nd stay at the Riverside, and unfortunately it was less than great. In my opinion, this hotel is not worth the price tag if you do not have a balcony or patio access. That being said, after getting to our room this stay, I called down to the front desk to ask about a room upgrade, was told they had a room and to come down to the front desk to do a “complete room change.” My family packed back up and high tailed it down to the lobby, just to be told there actually wasn’t a room, with a shrug of the shoulder. In the several interactions I had with the front desk, I was impressed by any. The rooms are pretty dated and in need of maintenance and a face lift. The beds are nothing special, but clean at least. Housekeeping and pool staff was friendly. Again, hotel is worth staying at if you have patio access to amenities, but if you do not it’s a long walk to everything & a view of the parking lot.

We stayed here with 2 grandkids ages 5 and 8. We had such a nice time swimming and the Sandbar grill was so convenient. We loved the breakfast buffet
