Great location, but property and infrastructure are way behind in fixing hurricane damage from over 2 years ago-- pool closed and taped off with caution tape, half of entry doors boarded up, laundry in only two of 5 buildings, at least 3 of street entrances chained shut. Unit itself was clean but worn-- one lounge chair broken, both rusty, chairs at kitchen table cushions shot and very uncomfortable, no dishwasher, several plastic glasses cracked and leaking, and how do you have water damage on a 6th floor lampshade-- total lack of care. Not in acceptable condition. You can find better.
Pros:- Located directly across from Bonita Beach, which has very limited parking, so stress-free with the free parking at the condo- Nearby popular restaurants of Docs and Coconut Jacks- Views of canal and gulf- Table for 4 (most units have only a table for 2)- Comfortable couch situated for the viewsCons- During my stay, the smoke detector battery started beeping at 3:30 a.m. Removing the battery did not solve it. They did not answer their maintenance line, no backup batteries (they had triple As but not 9 Volt), and I was driven crazy by the beeping. Luckily, my uncle who was staying in another unit got my text around 5 a.m. and safely unhooked it from the wires without breaking it. What a relief! No apologizes from maintenance nor the management team the next morning. - Bathroom sink bowl leaves little counter space and would be hard for a child to reach. Also bath curtain is a little yucky - use glass in a rental.- Wrong coffee filters were in supply. Made a huge mess. I threw them away, and left behind the correct filters so the next tenant didn't deal with the same coffee mess.Notes about the Bonita Beach & Tennis Club itself:- Elevators are unreliable- After 2.5 years after Ian, pools still closed and racket courts not fixed. This unit's description mentions this rightly so. The grounds are a mess.- Traffic outside is loud and can be heard inside unit.Overall, good rental for easy access to Bonita Beach. Price matches limited amenities.
The condo was very nice and clean. The construction however, obstructed our view on the balcony. We couldn't use it much due to the building being painted. The location is perfect, steps from the beach.
e of tall done it will be great.
Beautiful unit. Great location. Wonderful views. I appreciate that they were honest and upfront about the construction. It was noisy, but not horrendous.
This condo was perfect for us celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The condo was just the right size, has a beautiful view of the ocean, and was right across the street from the beach.
Check-in was easy, parking was easy...plenty of restaurants walkable.
We ended each day with a night cap at Doc's Beach House across the street....perfect ending to our perfect days.
Bonita Springs is centrally located - we were able to visit Sanibel Island, Naples, and Marco Island.
We would rent from here again if it was just the two of us visiting!
We loved being able to just walk across the street to Bonita Beach. The view of the ocean from the balcony was very good. It was nice to have beach chairs and umbrella for the beach. The studio apt needs just a little fine tuning...but comfortable. Felt very safe here. The coffee maker (working great is huge to us) really needed to be replaced...took about 25 minutes to brew one pot. We could possibly stay at Bonita Beach and Tennis Club again because of it's very good location. The pools were nice and good size but could have been more tropical jazzed up.
This is a very cute, clean place to hang and relax. The views are beautiful and sunsets gorgeous. Our only complaint is the couch is very uncomfortable.
The current construction being done on/around this property is VERY understated in the description. Not only is the unitâs balcony closed, but there is a 4x8 ft plywood sheet on the slider door, partially blocking the great ocean-view that the unit would otherwise offer as well as a lot of daylight. Also, âpaintingâ and ârepairâ does NOT accurately describe the construction crew working ALL day (starting promptly at 8am) with power tools (jackhammering concrete off the balconies of the units and tearing off all railings and support posts of the screened area). Wish I could add a video I took of a worker on scaffolding using power tools directly outside our window-crazy loud!!
The cafe is also closed during this time-wasnât in any info until we saw signage upon arrival at the unit. So, youâll need to leave the property for any food you donât bring yourself.
There was ZERO chance of daytime relaxing-either inside the unit or poolside during our stay. Lots of complaining heard by other guests we came in contact with in the common areas as well.
Also, if you visit the beach, when you return to this unit, there is really no place to put wet items (beach chairs, towels, water shoes, etc) because of the closed balcony.
It is a great unit and the location/view are awesome. Just DONâT go until ALL construction is complete!!
This little condo was a perfect getaway. Just enough space for cooking, lounging, and sleeping. A short walk from the beach, and a wonderful view from the screened in patio!
We were so pleased with this lovely condo. Although it was a mere 520 square feet, the look and feel was very spacious. The kitchen applicances were full size. There were plenty of bath towels for all of us as well as beach towels, large new roll of paper towels and liquid dish soap in the kitchen. Being able to close off the bedroom area was a plus, espcially when the baby was napping. We loved our staty.
This property was exactly as described. Was very clean and had a nice little welcome box. The location was perfect, steps away from the beach, pool, Cafe and Docs. The view from this location was breathtaking. Thank you for an amazing place to stay. Will definitely try to book again.
Overall we were very happy with the condo, the decor is beautiful.
Some suggestions owner could have provided the following necessities at a low cost and happier client:
Laundry basket, larger umbrella, plastic storage containers ( even something from the dollar store would have been appreciated)cookware is terrible đa slight investment in better cookware frying pans/breakfast needs would be appreciated. Thatâs why why people stay at a condo vs a hotel. To cook at least a breakfast.
Thx!
We enjoyed the location, the view, easy access to Bonita Beach right across street. Location was good because you could drive 5 miles north to Lovers Key State Park and 15 miles south to Naples. Easy drive from PGD airport.
As for the condo, it isnât very family friendly but it wasnât advertised as that anyway. Our bed/bedding definitely needed updated-not comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for our short stay and there were beach chairs, etc. which was great. We would definitely come back to these condos, especially if there was a nicer bed. Ours had a great view so no complaints there. Would advise getting to pools early because chairs are limited and snowbirds spend a long time there. Canât really picture small kids getting much play time but we didnât need that anyway. Overall a great stay!
