Owl's Nest is a cute, well-appointed "tiny home" that offers a nice, quiet mountain getaway for couples. There was a welcome gift of a bottle of wine upon our arrival, which I thought was a very nice touch. Everything was clean and in good working condition. Nice, fluffy, spa quality towels and linens. I especially appreciated the convenience of the onsite washer/dryer. There are several homes close by, but the neighborhood was very quiet, so it felt peaceful and secluded. There was a freak lightning strike our first night at the cabin which knocked out the wifi service to the neighborhood and blew out the wifi router. We contacted Cameron and he was very responsive and helpful in replacing the router and coordinating with the service provider to get the wifi up and working as quickly as possible. I got the sense that he would be very helpful and accommodating in any situation that might arise. The property also has three decks that would be wonderful to enjoy in nice weather and expands the living space. Unfortunately, it was very cold and windy when we were there, so we weren't able to use them. One of them has a nice fire pit which doesn't show on the pictures. I should note that if you are an elderly guest or have any physical limitations, you might have some difficulty climbing the hill to the property as it's quite steep and can be slippery if it's rainy. I would also suggest that wherever you stay in the area, inquire about cell phone coverage beforehand if that's important to you, to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
Thank you, Cameron and Angie, for sharing your little mountain home with us. :-)
