Excellent location. Near the slopes and places to eat. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. We parked right outside our door, which was nice as well.

The staff were very kind and welcoming however, the name was a little deceiving. It was a small motel, being renovated, but hopefully they will give the lodge atmosphere soon with a roaring fire and more amenities. The breakfast was continental and could be improved.

Rooms and hotel is under renovations and expect that the future of this establishment will be better. But the work was minimally invasive, light breakfast that was included was a good benefit. Location is awesome for the winter activities in town and nearby skiing and hiking.

This is a old Best Western that was renamed Banner ELK Lodge , very tired and I missed it in the pictures, old everything, no way the ratings represent this Hotel , this rating is not associated with the current renovation, just tired . The bathrooms are just like they were installed probably sometime in the early 70's " very narrow ". I was taken in by the name , reviews " that do not reflect this property " and the Lodge look pictures shown on the internet photos , do not be taken as we were , much nicer Hotels in Boone for a lot less monies and much newer property 15 minutes away . What we were charged was for a much nicer Hotel not this one , and we travel a lot . I can't say I remember staying in a run down Hotel like this in my life , in comparison this was one of worst stays in a life time Sincerely , Paul A.
