There was no hot tub, everything in the ‘spa’ wasn nickle and dimed and far from my actual hotel room. Sauna and steam room are advertised as amenities but not actually included, theyre extra fees just to use a sauna- this was not clear when booking.

This hotel needs to be renovated. At check in I asked the front desk staff for a complimentary room upgrade and he said I “didn’t need one” because the room was nice enough. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling. The heater did not work properly and it became very cold at night. The doors to the bathroom were not on the tracks so the doors would swing upon opening or closing. When I first arrived in my room, I wanted to wash my hands but there was no hand soap, I called the front desk and they said they would send someone to bring it, 30 mins later I called again and they said they would bring it. 65 minutes later my soap arrived! For a hotel rated so highly, I was terribly disappointed and will not stay here again. By the way, there are parking lots 1 1/2 blocks away which the valet will discourage you from using. They are so much cheaper and convenient!!

The Battery Wharf Hotel is my go-to hotel in Boston. Whether decompressing from a trip to Europe before the drive home to northern New Hampshire, or simply enjoying the food and culture of the North End, it never fails to impress. Valet parking is both safe and convenient.
