Lovely location but....

House clean but the beds are not so comfortable. And the owner didnt care about us or as he wanted. I asked some details for the check in and the answer was : you will receive all instructions a couple of days before the date. and I had the mail less than 24 hours before : stressfull when you come from France.before renting the flat I asked him for the sofa bed. He answered : ""the sofa bed works perfectly and it is comfortable"". but it is NOT comfortable at all. and the mattress of the bed too. When we arrived I tried by mistake to open the wrong door which is the owners' one. It was about 6 or 7 pm. He opened his door and just said it is the other door. He doesnt say welcome or have a smile. I really feel We were bothering him. we had a problem with the faucet of the shower. we called him he went without saying nothing kind. But he opened the faucet.Lovely location, very well located. That s all. "

Despite being listed as parking on site and mentioning in the listing parking on site there is NO parking on site. It’s also not close to a T station as the Andrew station is super sketchy. The neighborhood is fine and there lots of bars and restaurants in the area but the walk to the broadway T is over 20 minutes.

Overall decent, HOWEVER misleading info in listing. Says there is on-site parking, there is NOT. Check in info suggests nearby public parking which is unreliable and you need to get lucky for. Be prepared for 70 a day parking at a lot that is 5-10 min walk unless you luck out with a free public spot on the weekend. If you have a large enough group and are thinking of using the couch, just bring an air mattress

You get the first floor of small 2-story row house in a pleasant south Boston neighborhood. Owner lives above, some noise from them, but tolerable. Reasonably well stocked kitchen and towels, but had to hunt for sheets for the fold out sofa bed. Property is in good condition and clean. Fifteen-minute walk to the nearest T station, 1 mile to grocery store, so nice location. One true bedroom has a comfortable bed. VRBO listing clearly states 1.5 bathrooms, but this is 1.0 bathrooms (1 full bath). Queried the owner while staring right at his listing showing 1.5 baths in at least 2 locations and was shot down like I can’t read (BTW 0.5 baths means a separate room with toilet and sink). Unclear what the disconnect is, but hopefully the owner will do the responsible thing and correct his listing to accurately reflect the property. The sofa bed is in poor condition (not that any are really comfortable) but this would not even lay flat with prodding, so challenging for anyone with a spine to sleep on. Seemed barely a full, but maybe. Cute covered back patio but you share it with two air conditioners. These ran most of the time we were there (July), so this space was not viable for us to use. Maybe you could enjoy it in cooler weather. Small dining table with 3 chairs in the living room/sofa bed area. Overall, this would be great for a couple, maybe ok with 1-2 little kids, but too small and uncomfortable for sleeping 4 adults, which is what we had, thus the rating.

Nice place and great location

Property was fantastic. Nice little neighborhood close to the city and a bunch of good places close by with good food. Only issue I had was parking, but I am pretty sure that is the case with any location that close to downtown Boston.

Comfortable bed and nice closet space. Mostly clean except for hair in the bathroom and shower curtain liner that needs cleaning. Finding parking was not ideal, a few blocks away and pricey. Hilly area provides a nice walking workout!

Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed this location for visiting Boston. The area was lively, but quiet and friendly. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but with a bit of planning it was free and worked well into our daily routine. Would return.

Great Spot

Love the location & great place to stay if want to get away from busy city streets yet close enough to enjoy all the city has to offer! Everything was perfect for our stay
clean and neat with easy check in process. Tub could use a little TLC, but overall well equipped and nice place! So happy we found it!

Nice stay in Southie

We had a great time here and the place is pretty much as described. The kitchen is well equipped and it was comfortable enough for our little family of four. It is not too far from the beach or the subway station (Andrew). We did not have any issue during our stay, but our host was easily reachable and helpful before our arrival. The place was tidy when we arrived. Be advised, the patio can be noisy (heat pumps). This is a great neighborhood, although it can be a challenge to park your car on weekdays. Prepare a budget for that or time to find a free spot, good luck!

Very Convenient Location

My family (from Ireland) stayed in the property whilst visiting family in the South Boston area. It was very clean and the much needed air conditioning was great. It was a short walk or taxi ride to local bars, restaurants and shopping malls. The hosts were very easy to contact and replied very efficiently. We all really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!
