Most everything was great. There was a delicious Cuban restaurant next door and a Dunkin (but not open on Sunday). However our room was right over a very tiny corner park and it was very loud with music, people and sirens.

The room it’s self was very nice beds a little hard and the snacks where closed off due to a floor waxing all night so that was really the only downfall apart from all the homeless drug addict you see out of your window. Did NOT feel sad to walk around there. You’re practically on skid row. But other than that I enjoyed my quick 1 night stay for the concert we went to.

Not the hotels fault but Expedia totally screwed up the reservation when we changed one room to a king bed months ago. The hotel says Expedia canceled the entire reservation and the charges on my Amex in March make no sense. I will be disputing Hotel itself is in a poor part of town. Adjacent to a hospital. Homeless living on the sidewalk across the street. Sirens all night long. Will never stay here again will give it half a Star Women at the desk at check-in was 5 Star all the way and did get us our two rooms despite Expedia poor service

Staff is amazing, very loud location given it is right by the major Boston Hospital. (It’s why we chose it, my wife had appointments.) Homeless shelter is right across the road, so police presence is very high. We were only approached once by a panhandler. Hotel is very secure with guards and key passes to get the elevator to go up, access to stairwell also requires key card.

Not a Single Night's Rest

If what they say about location, location, location is true for a successful business, then the location of the hotel really hurts it overall rating. Our room faced out at Massachusetts General Hospital, so the constant sound of sirens and the use of the helicopter pad didn't allow us a night of uninterrupted sleep. The main streets outside the hotel aren't very desirable as we learned that the locals have nicknamed the street "Methylamine Mile". On top of that, for some reason the pool heater was not functioning properly, so the water was ice cold. Aside from 10 minutes in the pool, our kids weren't able to enjoy this feature of the hotel as well. Aside from these two items, the hotel offered a shuttle that we took full advantage of with drop offs at the aquarium and Fenway, the free breakfast was most welcomed, and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. It really isn't their fault that the hotel is situated beside Boston's main trauma centre! All in all, we still love and treasure Boston - but would probably avoid this hotel for any future visits.

Never thought I'd see a Hampton Inn priced this high then had to pay for parking too. Room was nice, staff was friendly, included breakfast was above average. The location left a lot to be desired in terms of safety. I was there for a work trip and one of the customers I was visiting asked where I was staying and when I told him he advised to be very careful and to not go out at night--this part of town is known as "meth alley." It's located right across the street from a hospital, and there were ambulances and police sirens all.night.long. Would not stay there again.

Do not go there!!!

This was the worst hotel ever. There was blood on the walls, the sheets had blood on them. The pool was cold and dirty. The toilet ran all night. In the front of the hotel were drug addicts. As a Police Officer I was discussed. I will be call the corporate office, however they wont care

This hotel has been the most surreal one so far I have ever visited. The area is flooded with drug users, which the police occasionally dispersed even throughout the night. It is noisy even with closed windows with frequent sirens outside. We decided not to cancel solely because our arrival time was after 7pm, making it too late to look for another hotel. In all fairness, the rooms were in order as was the breakfast. Still, for this kind of money, guests should expect to be told in advance that 1. the hotel shares space with a health care facility and 2. is surrounded by mobs of drug addicts in am unsafe area. It is an absolutely disgraceful situation. A refund is in order.
