The hotel itself is very good. The facilities and staff are excellent—very kind and helpful. They offer free breakfast, and everything was generally great. The hotel does provide a shuttle service to key areas, which is helpful. The only downside is that the surrounding area has a noticeable homeless presence and it’s close to a hospital, so there’s quite a bit of noise from ambulances and emergency activity. Other than that, everything was truly wonderful. I especially appreciated that I was staying there on my daughter’s birthday, and the hotel staff kindly placed a beautiful bouquet of flowers in our room that made the day even more special. We truly enjoyed our stay and are very grateful.

The hotel itself was nice and friendly customer service. However, the area was trashy everyday and not safe around the hotel due to homeless people. Someone needs to do something about it before that hotel loses business.

Read the other reviews. The area immediately outside the hotel entrance is not safe for families. 200 ft from a fairly empty parking deck to hotel entrance and you would think it's an easy walk from car to hotel. Instead, you have (apparently drugged out) homeless people aggressively following you and begging for help. There's a narrow corridor between the parking deck stairs/elevator to the exit doors so watch out. Homeless people pulling their face out the hotel's entrance trash bin to ask for loose change. There is not enough street lighting outside the hotel to make me comfortable with this behavior. This could be at best just scary for single people or families with young children walking to or from their cars in the evening (7 to 9 pm - not late) but note there is a lot of loitering by vagrants at all hours. In the morning there is more hospital staff walking about the vicinity but that is not my definition of safe. There is security staffed onsite but I see they kept to only the lobby. Otherwise, try to ignore the nonstop sirens being next to the hospital. I feel bad reviewing for this hotel so poorly when the hotel condition is clean and serviceable and hotel staff friendly and accommodating but I'd be remiss to be less than candid in my review for other hotel seekers.
