Stunning Design, but Furnishings Need Attention
From the moment we stepped inside, the thoughtful design of this Bozeman rental impressed us. The rustic-modern aesthetic, with its open layout matched the listing perfectly, and the space was spotlessly clean. Its location is ideal—close to the airport, a short drive from downtown. The hosts were responsive, addressing, and their daughter’s kind gesture of delivering homemade treats on our final day was a delightful touch. However, the furnishings significantly detracted from our stay. The sofas were worn, with broken or reclining mechanisms, and felt overdue for replacement. The absence of a dining table or standard chairs was a major inconvenience, as the kitchen island’s barstools didn’t suit working, playing games, or enjoying a proper meal. A small table and chairs would greatly improve functionality. The sleeping arrangements were another challenge. The downstairs mattress was extremely firm, uncomfortable for side sleepers like me, while the upstairs mattress sagged severely in the center, making it unsuitable for couples. My wife and I slept separately to cope, and I ended up on the daybed, which was adequate but cramped. New mattresses would make a world of difference. Additionally, the loft’s large east-facing window lacks curtains, so expect to wake at sunrise.Overall, the stunning design drew us in, but the outdated furnishings and uncomfortable beds left us disappointed, with poor sleep impacting our vacation.
