Summer stay; excellent location. Could use a safe as it is on the first floor and in the summer with no air conditioning; you have to keep the windows open.
My 17 yo daughter & I stayed here 4 nights for our 5th annual PTC school-break ski trip. Condo is on ground floor, so not too many units on that level, which made it pretty quiet. The gondola runs right outside, but itâs.not obtrusive at all. Condo was nicely furnished & well-stocked. Beds were comfy, too. Peak 7 Independence chair is literally steps outside the ski locker on the first floor. Very convenient for first tracks! Speaking of, we took advantage of the First Tracks program on Friday & headed over to Peak 9 at 7:30 to ride Quicksilver up & stay at top of 9 for 60 minutes of trail lapping. It was totally worth the early morning wake up! Only hiccup was one of our room keys didnât work, but called host & she managed another way to get us in. Lesson learned, double-check all keys every time you leave the room! Overall, a fabulous stay!
We had high hopes of staying at a nice lodge and we are familiar with the Breckenridge area but unfortunately the 2 room condo was not near as nice as we were hoping. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe it was due to the time of year we visited but we had a barrage of problems.
The blinds did not work
The crank handles that opened and shut the windows broke off making it hard/impossible to shut certain windows
The water on the fridge broke and stayed broken for almost a full week
There is no a/c
The fireplace did not work
The hot tub was not working and was under construction for 12 of the 14 days we stayed there, the smaller one worked but there were constantly construction workers in the hot tub area so it made it weird
There were ants and fleas throughout the condo
Only one of our keys worked so we had to get extra a couple days into our trip
We never received a parking pass
The wooden trim piece above the glass sliding door literally fell on top of us when we were opening the door
Our shower drain didnât work to the point you have to turn off the water several times throughout your shower and even then the water overflowed
The bath drain didnât work, it randomly would let water out or wouldnât open to let the water drain
The bathroom door didnât latch
There was no vacuum, only a mini broom
One of the hair dryers didnât work
The safe didnât work
I know it sounds like Iâm being picky and harsh but when you pay a lot of money, you expect better.
The condo complex was in a beautiful location. The amenities at the condo facility were very nice. The people working with the Vrbo on site and through text communications were friendly and helpful answering questions during our stay. The unit we stayed in was very clean.
The only drawbacks of our unit was that the we couldnât get the unit to cool off as not all of the windows were functional to open and close and the TV usage instructions and remotes could have been better. Overall though we enjoyed our stay.
The lock box that was supposed to contain property keys was empty. Didnât get keys until halfway through the second day. Ski locker wasnât accessible until the later part of the second day. WiFi and TVs didnât work and it was SuperBowl Sunday. When I called, they just said the same thing thatâs written in the guidebook. (The guidebook is not specific to this property but a general book used for multiple units.) A worker finally came to fix the TVs and WiF late the second day. Steam Room was broken. For a âluxury propertyâ this definitely fell short. I will defy check to see if a property is managed by SCMR before I book.
The check in process was as described in the info received, but only included two key cards...for five registered guests which made logistics challenging as the key cards are required to use amenities (hot tub, ski locker, fitness center). The location at the base of peak 7 was awesome and the amenities were good. Would definitely stay again!
Clean and nicely furnished. Tons of pillows which is always a plus. Master bedroom - bed has a firm mattress, not the most comfortable. Second bedroom - mattress was way too firm, could not sleep on it. This is a first floor unit and if you like having windows open - take note you wonât want to in this unit. Nice to have a heated garage to park in.
Very nice unit in a good location; however, a bit close to the gondolas as you could hear them running all day long with the open windows. Probably a better unit in the winter as the windows would be closed and you wouldn't hear the sound of them running. Was a bit nervous being on the ground floor and having to have the windows open as there is no air conditioning. We liked taking the gondola down to downtown Breckenridge. Enjoyed the free bowling, shuffle board and corn bag games that were available to the Peak 7 residents. Management was very responsive when we needed assistance.
The condo was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and excellent location right next to the gondola. This would be an excellent location for skiing. There is no a/c so we did have to use box fans in the windows.
This condo is very warm. Mountain air through the windows cools it off, but the windows are on the ground level. It depends on your comfort as to if youâre fine with people walking on the sidewalk right by your room with open windows while youâre sleeping. Additionally one of the windows had to be pushed closed from the outside because it wouldnât shut from the inside. Also, the hot tubs were not operational which we were really looking forward to using. The property management never did get back to me when I texted about the hot tubs being out of order. Basically, we wonât be back.
Wonderful place. I wish there was a front staff to ask questions or help. The shuttle service was hard to figure out initially but great once found the code. The lockbox situation was annoying bc the key was stuck inside. We need more than 1 key so the family can split up. The parking pass should be in the lockbox too so it is easily found and replaced at checkout instead of leaving inside the condo. We had oxygen delivered and the as just left at unstaffed front desk which is not safe since the order is medical and had personal information but was no other option. The home itself was clean (carpet needs to be replaced) but location was great; loved 1st floor; hot tub was broken and sometimes the gondola was too which take away from overall appeal of the condo location. It was summer so extra walking to next hotel or a shuttle was fine (I think winter with all the gear would make this very annoying for no gondola access or hot tub access.) The furniture needs to be downsized for the space (really big pieces)- need less furniture to make more room - esp if more people than our 3 and winter gear. Closets were full so no place for luggage. Every piece of furniture was just BIG and the space isnât big. However, we arenât there long enough but if winter it would be very crowded. Bathrooms were great though. Overall 4 stars!
