A great stay , food was outstanding , all home cooked . Staff , really nice . Only fault was the bathroom too small , cannot be helped with the shape of the building . Would stay again .
We stayed for 1 night taking 2 family rooms, the rooms were large and roomy, clean, lots of room between the double and single bed, the bathroom was of a very high standard, there was plenty of tea and coffee in the rooms, and very warm.
Wonderful hotel, lots of character. Simon and the team were lovely, even keeping the kitchen open so I could have some dinner after I came back from work late. Will definitely stay again.
I absolutely love this place, amazing customer service topped with great food and a comfortable place to rest your head.
The surrounding area is beautiful, it's location provides a great place to go for a walk and take it all in.
The food menu is lovely with choices for a gl
Host very chatty & friendly..Place all seemed very clean & tidy. Good menu selection. Parking.
Would stay there again.
Note: Donât be put off by the outside, itâs just tricky to keep it pristine on one side due to nearby road
Overall a comfortable stay. The food lacked vegan options at breakfast with no plant milk alternatives offered. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
Very friendly owner, made us feel very welcome and happy to be of assistance for our needs. A little bit remote but once you unpack there is no need to leave. The food was exceptional in a lovely restaurant and excellent service, thank you
Cleanliness was excellent , bathroom was spotless.
Pretty ascetic overnight stay in a hotel looking like it was suitable for wedding parties, but quiet on an October midweek..
Friendly owner and staff.
Dinner and breakfast both well cooked and presented.
Handy location after drive through Exmoor heading to M5
Use of Tesco vouchers helped with cost.
Lovely friendly hotel manager and staff. Just let down by the proximity to the A39. Nothing they can do about that but too noisy for me and my wife. However the welcome and helpfulness of the manager and staff is second to none, and that counts for a lot.
I liked the rural location and as we stayed in the chalet style rooms beside the hotel, we were away from the main road and looking out to the lawn so it was nice and quiet.
What we disliked was we found 20 spiders in our room by the next morning and there were lots of cobwebs. I asked to be moved to another room and they didnt have one so the owner came and hoovered where the ceiling and wall join. I have never experienced this before and have stayed in the countryside many times. This could be very off putting if someone has arachnopobia, as they were big spiders. We found dinner and breakfast to be average. It was a shame as the location is good.
Can't recommend Apple Tree enough, run by a really friendly couple they have made it a great place to stay in the beautiful quantocks. Superbly clean, great food, nice decor and very comfortable, as well as being quite eco friendly
Close to wedding venue we where attending but great choice really close.
On arrival Simon check us in really good welcome and room very nice clean all amenities we stayed in the garden room with four poster bed comfortable
Breakfast had a good selection on the menu with a really lovely waitress serving us and the food was very nicely cooked.
Lets itself down by only having hand held shower and no curtain. For a 6 footer very difficult not to get water everywhere. Hosts lovely people. Food Great and Bar very reasonable. Some Rooms on main road so a bit noisy
