Claudiaâs Cottage was perfect for 2 families of 3 enjoying a week together in the lake. The walk to the water is easy and it is shallow for a long stretch. there is a great ice cream store up the road. We were centrally located to many great activities. Bring your own beach towels and toys, but the kitchen is fully stocked and there were so many books, games, and movies.
Comfortable little house. Lots of games and DVDs for the kids. The beach was a little disappointing as there was not much area of sand to set up our chairs, the beach was pretty much under water. The lake is gorgeous and one of the cleanest I have ever seen. The town of Bristol nearby has great coffee shop and tubing down the Pemi river was a highlight of our week.
We had a group come for an the Swim for a Mission swim on the lake. The accommodations perfectly fit our group of friends - spacious and plenty of outdoor space. The location was ideal...we loved relaxing on the beach after the swim and floating in the shallow water. Would love to come back!
Claireâs cottage, though rustic, was very clean inside. Claireâs cottage worked out perfectly for us, it was in a central location for all of our events we were attending on Newfound lake Labor Day weekend. The host/property manager was extremely accommodating, quickly answered our questions and very helpful. Things were organized well and instructions were clear and easy to follow.
Claires Cottage was just perfect for us. We had such a wonderful time. The host provides absolutely everything you need and she was so very easy to work with. The fenced in yard provided privacy and safety when my 6 year old granddaughter was outside and with beautiful weather, we enjoyed some great sunsets on the deck.
My family and I had an amazing week at the cottage. It has everything you need and more. The kids and adults loved having game nights with the endless supply of games. The beds and furniture were all comfortable. We will definitely be going back next year!
Everything you could ask for in a family mini getaway. Claireâs had plenty of family friendly needs: extra towels, ample beds, kitchen necessities, etc. Ice cream spot down the street was perfect and access to the private beach was ideal. Would absolutely stay again!
Rained 5 of 7 days making shared private beach unusable.
Went to beautiful Nearby State Park nearby instead. Cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable
My family stayed here to attend a wedding up the road. The cottage was just right for all of us. The area is beautiful. If I'm ever looking to stay in the area again I would definately look into staying here again.
Waking up to the ac on full blast and know that i was in a vacation home of my own made the vacation that much better i loved it private beach was great and the neighbors are so polite would love to go back there 100%
Wonderful rustic experience that took us back to childhood grandparents visits !
We loved Claireâs cottage - it is minimalist but has everything you need ! It is cozy and awesome space for a visit with family and friends. We enjoyed the backyard and near by association shared beach - new found lake is serene and just relaxing. The house is tricky to find but the instructions from the host helped ! Highlights of the trip were Wellington state park, ice cream shop near the property and wonderful lake near the house. We would love to visit Claireâs cottage again !!
My friends and I rented Claire's Cottage for my birthday weekend and it was the PERFECT house in the most PERFECT location! Quick walk to the private beach and there's even a cool ice cream shop/antique shop a quick walk away. The accommodations were perfect for our group and there's tons of vintage games, DVD's, and a Roku TV for entertainment. We're already excited to plan our next visit to Claire's!
We had a great time staying in Claireâs cottage at the lake! The location was nice; just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and great hiking close by. The Newfound lake is super nice especially with young kids, since the water is warm and crystal clear. We needed some assistance on the day of arrival with the toilet, but the host was super fast in replying and came to fix the issue immediately! Overall, a great experience and a good choice for a family weekend. Would recommend for other families.
Claireâs cottage was perfect for our family to stay while we were in the area for a lacrosse tournament.
The home was cozy and clean. It was a bit dated, but that added to the ambiance. The location was great.
Access to the lake was easy. It was a small beach, as mentioned in the listing. Perfect to play with the kids and watch the sunset after a long day.
Family and friends enjoyed our stay here for 4th of July weekend. The owner was very responsive to all our questions and concerns and worked with us to accommodate our many questions and specific parking needs (2 boats with trailers).
The cottage had comfortable and bright common areas and the bedroom layout worked perfectly for our group. It was much larger and more open inside that we were anticipating, so that was a great surprise.
Only negatives weâd like to mention are the shower only had VERY hot water, so we couldnât use it (though a few of us tried and failed). And the blinds in some of the bedrooms had some mold/mildew on them, which was rough on some of the family members with allergies.
Great little spot and very awesome location. Weâd definitely book here again!
Amazing property with amazing hosts. Arrived at the cottage late Friday with the family. The neighborhood lost power for a few hours due to a downed transformer. There were a ton of board games and books to keep us busy in the meantime. They brought over some flashlights and checked in multiple times until the power was back up. The cottage is small but surprisingly roomy. Very vintage feeling to it. Thereâs a nice lake less than a minute away. I will definitely visit again.
