Steven and Beth were amazing hosts and very helpful with local information! Their cottage was exactly as listed. Beautifully decorated, serenely quiet, and very comfortable. It was stormy during our stay, so the view wasn't perfect. But sitting on the porch, deeply inhaling the forest scent while having coffee, was the most relaxing experience one could ask for! We wished we could have stayed longer! If you're looking to relax and let the stress go, this is the perfect place to stay! A big thank you to Steven for making our time in Brookings magical!

We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and couldn’t have chosen a better place.This property is quiet, private and crazy clean. The hosts, while living right next door, were welcoming and informative, yet not bothersome in the least. In fact, we hardly heard them. The layout of the two places provide a great deal if privacy and sense of security.The view toward the ocean is fantastic!We really enjoyed ourselves here and strongly recommend these hosts and the space they offer.

Excellent location, on a hillside overlooking woods and the ocean. Nice cozy wood-trimmed interior, pretty much everything you need inside. About the size of my city one-bedroom apartment. Hosts were friendly and available, although I didn't need them much! Went seeking peace and quiet and mostly got it outside of a rambunctious dog or two down the hill. Just be careful of the spiders though! This is out in the woods and I had to deal with one on a semi-daily basis. No air conditioner either - I knew this going in - it got a little toasty in there a day or two early on, but I assume in general it's not a problem there.Still really enjoyed my time there!

Pictures don’t do this adorable place justice. The cabin is both cozy and spacious, and the flowers all around the property are gorgeous. And you can’t beat the view. Steven and Beth were fantastic hosts and we felt very welcome.

This was such a delightful little cottage. I needed a respite, a serene and quiet atmosphere. This cottage was the perfect resting spot to sit out with a cup of coffee and enjoy the gorgeous mountain view.I loved watching the hummingbirds and the sunset was spectacular.

Exceptional property, wonderful hosts. We needed a couple days to relax and recharge and picked a place fairly last minute and felt blessed to stumble upon something so perfect. Steven and Beth were incredibly kind and welcoming, and made their remarkably picturesque cottage a lovely private retreat. Highly recommend to anyone who could use a few days relaxing in the beauty of the southern Oregon coast.

This cottage had an amazing view in a quiet area. Great getaway with all the amenities, a comfortable bed, and lots of hot water. Central to all we wanted to explore, it was in a great location for beaches and the forest. Top notch, would recommend to anyone.

Awesome Place to Stay!

This true gem is close to 5-7 min from downtown Brookings. My spouse and I booked this great space for a long weekend. It’s beautiful, calm and quiet with a charming outdoor space to view the ocean from atop the hill. Lovely lighted patio with flowers to watch the sunset! Such a great space and well appointed. Very comfortable bed and great furnishings. Hosts are on site. Welcoming and there if needed but very respectful of space and your privacy. One of the most pleasant, restful stays we’ve had at a VRBO property and we’ve stayed at many. If I could give 10 stars I would! Book this great property with confidence!

Great location

This was a great place to stay. The location was beautiful and peaceful. The towels were wonderful. The bed was comfy. Host communicated great. I enjoyed a day of hiking in the redwoods and this was the perfect place to relax after.
