Wonderful escape!

We were evacuating from Hurricane Milton and needed a place to stay. What a happy accident that we found Emma's Driftwood Farm. A stressful situation turned into a much needed respite. Our daughter loved fishing, crabbing, and walking the property. We all loved the peaceful view and quiet nights. The property manager, John, bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you all. We will definitely come back!

Truly Spectacular!

The property description and photos couldn't have prepared us for the 'awesomeness' that is Emma's Driftwood. The accommodations (Ranch House), the amenities, the service, and the setting... oh, the majesty of the setting, all combined for a new level of... WOW! While our intention was to explore more of the surrounding area, there was little to entice us back through the gates once the cupboards were stocked. We found ourselves completely decompressed with books, binoculars and birding apps in hand. Anyone seeking serenity with modern amenities, should absolutely have Emma's on a (very) short list! Our return isn't a question of if, but when...

Dream Retreat

I stayed here with my husband and 2 young children and it was a dream! The Ranch House was secluded and faced directly onto breathtaking swaths of marsh. We couldn’t resist getting outside before dawn because the sunrises were so gorgeous. I read other reviews stating this is even more beautiful in person and couldn’t agree more. The Spanish moss, huge trees, misty islands on the horizon, and farm environment created a tranquil retreat for us. Both kids even slept through each night, which is unheard of in this family! We enjoyed walking on to the docks and tried our hands at crabbing (though we only caught one). The crabbing and fishing equipment is functional and ready to use but keep in mind you’ll have to share with other farm guests- due to this we weren’t able to use it for half the time we were there. The pool is beautiful but heater was not on for part of our stay so our swimming excursions were very brief and chilly. The event barn was also fun with football, ping pong, and soccer balls/frisbees available to use. The location of the farm is ideal. We were able to spend a day in Savannah as well as visit several beautiful barrier island beaches that had beachfront parking and no crowds. I would love to return here and next time will even consider bringing extended family and renting the whole farm. I continue to daydream and reminisce about what an idyllic vacation this was- thank you!

Best secret in South GA

Just an amazing property from beginning to finish...arrived late at night and drove through the winding woods to a secluded but very modern and well appointed house. The pool, main party, barn, docks winding trails and fishing dock were all that was promised....THANK YOU FOR THE HOSPITALITY upon check with box of s'mores supplies, meat and cheese board and wine! This was much needed vacation with the family to reunite.

Southern plantation, where the living is easy!

This was a delightful winter retreat. The grounds of this estate rival and epitomize southern plantation living. We were pleasantly surprised with all of the personal touches afforded by the team. The perks were classy and to abundant to list in this review. All of the accommodations on this property were beautiful and unique. However, the most memorable impression came from the random acts of kindness demonstrated by the entire team. Kudos to John, Mayor Bubba and Hunter for going the extra mile and giving us an excuse to come back next year. They were even thoughtful enough to mail my leather jacket I left behind. Rest assured, you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic place

My family and I loved this house. It’s very private , plenty of activities, and a great host. We caught a lot of fish and crabs during our stay! This place is perfect for family bonding and to simply enjoy nature.

Marsh relaxation: Great for a family retreat

We had the best time at Emma’s Driftwood Farm. It was the perfect getaway and we spent long hours enjoying the marsh views and lolling in the fantastic swimming pool. The house was comfortable, clean and well-stocked. Nearby restaurants were tasty and dog-friendly. As an aside, my husband and our dog, Eddie, spotted a creature with a ringed tail and mask in one of the palmetto trees lining the marsh. It looked like a lemur (it was not a raccoon). There’s a lemur colony on a nearby island, so it may have been a wanderer. In any case, the great lemur watch was entertaining!

Beautiful and peaceful

Outstanding experience. The property is unique and gorgeous. It isolated but still clean and tidy. We relaxed and also caught redfish from the docks. Loved the fire pits and gas grill too.

Slice of heaven in the Low Country

If you love the low country, there is no better place to stay than Emma's Driftwood Farm. From the comfort of the accommodations at The Ranch House and the thoughtful personal touches (charcuterie board and wine upon arrival, honey made on the Farm, local chocolates, etc. etc.) to the grounds, it's like stepping back in time and far from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We couldn't have picked a better place to bid 2021 farewell and ring in a New Year. The docks also are great for crabbing and fishing (they also supply everything you need to enjoy those activities, too!) and taking in the fresh air and incredible unobstructed views. We also brought our boat and kept it docked; it was the perfect jumping off point for exploring the area by water, including a New Year's Day hike on Sapelo Island. The property manager, John, and groundskeeper, Hunter, also are simply lovely humans. They were incredibly friendly and hospitable, and very easy to reach whenever we had a question. We cannot recommend Emma's Driftwood Farm enough and we look forward to our next visit when even more amenities will be available to guests. Thank you for sharing such a breathtaking place with the rest of the world!

Perfect Stay to Reset

Such an amazing experience at the Ranch House! So peaceful, spacious and relaxing — the marsh and Spanish moss-covered trees provide fantastic views. We stayed with our kids (22, 18, and 3) and my in-laws. Our 3 year-old daughter loved running around the spacious yard and making S’mores (the property provides the kits). My husband and sons couldn’t get enough of fishing and crabbing. The fresh honey they gave us — which they make on property — was perfect with the bottle of wine and charcuterie board they had waiting for us when we arrived. There’s also a grocery store, liquor store, and nice seafood restaurant only about a 10 minute drive from the farm. We’ll be back!

We had great time at the ranch house. The place was very clean, everything was very well thought out, small details taken care of and a well stocked kitchen. John and Hunter were very helpful. It is very peaceful and a great place to enjoy and relax.

Wonderful house and setting

I thoroughly enjoyed my combination work/vacation at the Ranch House. The house is great and the setting is amazing with beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the expansive and pristine marsh. Loved sitting in the rocking chair on the dock. The grounds of the property are also beautiful with huge live oaks draped in Spanish moss, palmettos, and a big yard. Very relaxing.

Great Costal Getaway

The property is amazing. Everything we needed was already there. The only thing I would recommend bring is pool floats for swimming in the river. The Property Manager, John, was a pleasure to deal with. If we needed anything, he was there. We rented the Ranch House and the Hatcher House and they were both perfect. I will definitely recommend to others and I will definitely go back.

Southern hospitality with views for days

Beautiful, serene property that helps you feel “away from it all,” but just a short drive to town. Loved the marsh views best of all. The house is comfortable and well-equipped with everything you need, plus some wonderfully thoughtful touches. Communication with the property manager was amazing - Hunter was very responsive and attentive. We’ll be booking again next time we’re down South!

Beautiful property, inside and out. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape with a home away from home feel. As pretty as the pictures are, they don’t do it justice. Highly recommended

If I could give The Ranch more than 5 stars I would definitely do so. It is amazing. Quiet and secluded, yet only a short drive to nearby St. Simons and Jekyll islands. Our host, John, and his staff were readily available. All the conveniences and extras of an exclusive resort and more (wine, cheese and fruit tray, s’mores kit, etc.). I cannot thank them enough for our perfectly wonderful family getaway.

The house and property were absolutely amazing. The house was extremely clean decorated like a magazine. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with wine and cheese and fruit trey. The front porch was a great hang-out in the evenings for family. This rental comes highly recommended by me!!!!!!

Wonderful stay

This place is a real gem. Quiet and peaceful. All the conveniences of a high end hotel and more (S'mores kit, suntan lotion, insect repellent, etc included). Plenty to do for all: fire pit, BBQ, horseshoes, fishing gear, etc. Looks directly over the marsh. Star gazing at night with no light pollution is spectacular. John, the host, is readily available and very welcoming and friendly. Lots of attractions also nearby so can use the house as a base for daytime trips. House itself very comfortable, recently remodeled. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful and peaceful property

Our stay was cut short due to family issue but the time we did have was very relaxing. The property is gorgeous and John is very available and helpful. Everything is top shelf. We had an amazing breeze off the marsh our entire stay. We brought our small dog and they even had a bone for her. We will return soon.
