The cabin was beautiful and clean. The Mountain view was amazing. We were two families of eight and the place accommodated us very comfortably. The drive up the mountain was ok but certain parts were steep and curvy but we had no problem going up. One of the cars we had was a mini van that had no issues driving up. I could see a challenge and the need for 4 wheel drive during the winter and snow. It is all part of the experience. The cabin was only 6 minutes away to the Nantahala Outdoor Center and about 20 minutes to downtown Bryson City. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we would love to stay there again.
Beautiful cabin with plenty of room. Everything was great except there is no heat in the downstairs bathroom. The can opener or coffee pot donât work.. We really enjoyed our vacation. We definitely would go back !
We stayed in this cabin in anticipation for our polar express train ride! The drive to the cabin is rough. But the cabin and view are amazing! Clean, kitchen stocked, plenty of towels, beds were comfortable. My family deeply enjoyed it.
Not much to say. Cabin was nice, could probably use some attention and if you need to be able to work remotely while visiting the internet is not great. Good spot to stay if you want to enjoy nantahala.
Such a beautiful spot!! Thanksgiving with our grown kids and grand baby!! It was perfect for us. The scenery was gorgeous. There was plenty to cook a huge meal with and plenty of space between the rooms provided! The owner was very helpful. If you enjoy hiking, there is the national forest close by! It was great! Definitely will consider staying again! Thank you!!
We enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin is beautiful and the views are absolutely gorgeous! The location was great for exploring the area. We were traveling with two cars. One was a four wheel drive and one was not. We didn't have any trouble making it to the house (the weather was wonderful though). I would absolutely recommend staying here!
This is our 3 or 4 time staying here with 10 adults. Plenty of room, very nice, and close to the Nantahala Outdoor Center and Bryson City. We will be back next year.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home. Itâs bell laid out and provided ample space for us to congregate. From the back porch, we enjoyed watching the clouds float through the valley below. We plan on going back!
The first thing our eyes land on was the amazing view from the porch. Our family enjoyed each opportunity to sit and watch the mountain scene change. My son-in-law took time-lapsed video of the minute by minute change. We had no problem getting up to the cabin but there was some anxiety each time. We did make sure we were back by sundown. The cabin is a decent distance from Andrews, Bryson City, and Cherokee. We had comfy beds and plenty of eating space for 12 people. We made good use of the house fan for much of the time and used the individual AC units each night. Our only draw back was there was not a separate space for our 6 children to go but they worked it out.We would definitely enjoy a stay at this cabin again. I did communicate with Mark via messaging and phone, He responded quickly. Thank you Mark for sharing you cabin with us.
Was the best stocked rental. Really loved the place; however it really is a crooked narrow road getting to the cabin.
Cabin definitely needs a good deep cleaning.
Very secluded and beautiful scenery.
Mark's cabin is an excellent place to stay with beautiful scenery all around it. Do be sure to heed his warning of being able to make it up the driveway though.
This was absolutely perfect for our stay at GAF. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. 5 stars for the gas fire pit and grill. Parking was tight but we fit 4 trucks/ suvs without blocking the driveway. The road up was steep but doable in the summer. Winter could pose a problem. We loved it though. It was perfect for an authentic mountain trip.
