Nice property. My gps didnât take me to the right house but my husbands did. House was clean, well stocked, quiet and amazing access to the lake. We enjoyed the dock and fire pit as well. Grass was super long but they sent landscaping on our last day. Great neighbors as well.
The house was perfect! We were a group of girls needing a lake weekend. We had everything we needed. The host was very communicative and helpful when we needed it. Would recommend!
This home was fine. The following comments relate to the Oconee properties in general.Due to the size of this lake, and the long side roads, don't count on your rental, anywhere on Oconee, to be at all convenient or easy to reach from a good road, or near any conveniences. It can be a real issue if your flight or other travel arrangements mean that you could be looking for street signs, addresses and door locks for a long, frustrating time, especially if a particular house does not have good outside lighting. So have a flashlight handy. Once you are inside, you will breathe a big sigh of relief.
Overall a very nice house. Be careful around the dock as I fell in a hole but the kayaks are a nice touch and we went out several times! House has everything you need - be aware depending on carrier cell phone coverage is spotty.
We had our staff gathering for our small business (3-4 employees only) in this property for the weekend. It was the perfect place! We gathered around the fire pit to share stories at night and grilled bbq during the day. Access to the lake came in handy. We rented out a pontoon. This property is very clean. All necessities were provided. It was also very close to grocery stores and shops. Host responded within a few minutes and even checked in on us by text when we arrived. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property for families and friends.
Very disappointing weekend- Lots of attention needed!
Very excited about the trip to only be disappointed by the property.
1. The curb appeal was awful: Crate Myrtles have overtaken the front of the house and entry into house and to the backyard (needs to be trimmed back greatly); Algae on siding and back of the house; Cobb webs everywhere outside (Chairs, table, all over ceiling); String of light do not work (only 4 light bulbs worked). The outside white couch on the dock has mold and mildew on it. It needs to be thrown out.
2. Inside the home needed much attention: Chairs at the dining room table were dry rotted. Bugs were all on table and floor. Sofa was dirty with stains and dust. In light of Covid, furniture should probably be non-porous (leather like) as opposed to cloth. Walls were marked up bad and needs to be painted and touched up. Bathroom had hair in the tub and sink with several bugs left visible. Bedroom sheets upstairs had bleach stains on it.
3. Please let people know that the phone signal is very very weak.
There is a lot of potential for this property. But what I experienced this past weekend was very disappointing. Itâs like someone forgot we were coming.
Super clean house with great amenities. Loved the kayaks for the lake. Super easy to get to and in a quiet neighborhood. Loved being within 20 minutes of golf, town, and right on the lake. The summers here must be great!
We wanted a comfortable place to stay in the Madison area for a family wedding. It was 1,000% better than staying in a hotel and made traveling with three littles enjoyable. Love the free Netflix access, easy wifi password, and many other touches that make it easy and pleasant to stay.
Life vests are hiding under the bar if you're wondering :)
Next time we visit family in the area, I can't see why we would risk staying anywhere else
We had a great time! The home was well maintained and very clean. It was very homey, we had everything we needed to feel
comfortable and Mark was a great communicator. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time, nice clean lake house with great access to the water. We fished and relaxed during the day and enjoyed sâmores in the evening. Highly recommend!
