Squire Cottage is a beautifully converted upside-down barn cottage, created from an original hay barn dating back to 1880. Full of character and countryside charm, it offers comfortable accommodation in a peaceful coastal setting, with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside and towards Widemouth Bay. Whether you're planning a family holiday, a couples' getaway or a break with friends, Squire Cottage provides a welcoming base from which to experience the best of North Cornwall.



The first floor has been designed to take full advantage of the elevated views, housing a spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering stays, while comfortable seating creates a relaxing atmosphere for unwinding at the end of the day. Access is also available via the traditional external barn staircase, a charming reminder of the building's agricultural heritage. Outside, guests can enjoy a private seating area where the stunning coastal and countryside scenery provides the perfect backdrop for outdoor dining or simply soaking up the peaceful surroundings.



On the ground floor, the cottage offers two well-appointed bedrooms. The larger bedroom features a double bed as well as an additional single bed, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for families and groups. A second bedroom contains full-sized bunk beds, making it ideal for children or younger guests. The family bathroom is also located on this level and includes a bath with shower over, wash basin and WC.



Guests staying at Squire Cottage are welcome to enjoy the excellent facilities available on site. During the summer months, an outdoor heated swimming pool is available from Whitsun through to mid-September, while the tennis court offers the opportunity for some friendly competition. There is also a small games room for additional entertainment and a selection of friendly farm animals that younger visitors are sure to enjoy. One well-behaved dog can be accommodated, ensuring no member of the family has to miss out on the holiday.



Perfectly positioned near Widemouth Bay, Squire Cottage places guests within easy reach of some of Cornwall's most spectacular coastal scenery. The bay's expansive sandy beach is a favourite for surfing, beach days and coastal walks, while the South West Coast Path offers breathtaking views in every direction. Just a short drive away, Bude provides a vibrant mix of independent shops, restaurants, cafés and family attractions.
