Farmhouse Disappointment
The host responded quickly before & after booking. Unfortunately, on the day of checkin, I killed 2 (biting) ants. The next morning, I woke up to an infestation of biting ants in the bedroom my young child & I were sleeping. I immedlately contacted VRBO Support b/c I could not continue my reservation for the next 6 days killing ants; worrying if the ants were going to get into our luggage; or worrying if we were going to get bit. We do not have ants at home & I certainly did not want their pheromones in our belongings to invite other biting ants into our residence. For the duration of my call to VRBO Support for 2hrs, I'm killing ants. After numerous of calls to VRBO Support, videos sent & pictures; it's been 15 days & I'm still waiting on my reimbursement for 6 nights of stay from my reservation. I messaged with the property owner after checking into the property. During my reservation dates, the host did not follow up with me to inquire about my stay. No response from host even after VRBO notified the host, I had to vacant the premises. Very disappointed with this experience! No sympathy or compensation. Traveling from out of state & I am not a local resident of this area.
