Beautiful setting! Waterfront. Great amenities!If arriving late, ask Mgmt Co to turn some lights on - REALLY hard to navigate as property sits back and wooded.

We arrived to the property to find mouse droppings all over the kitchen and living areas. Our second day we found the drain was blocked and water was backing up into the downstairs bathroom. Called and no one came to address either issue rather dissatisfied

Nice For The Weekend- Needs Some Attention

In all fairness, the house is more of a 3.5 start than a 3 star rental but I can't select that. The rental office/text info was excellent for providing timely information needed for checking in/out etc. The house itself was in a great location on the lake and perfectly suitable for a long weekend. My men's church small group rented it for Columbus Day weekend and checked in easily. The immediate problem was the abundance of fruit flies in the house. This remained with us all weekend and is the primary reason for the lower rating. We alerted the rental agency and they acknowledged my text, but did not receive any offer of someone coming in to clear the drains and help remove the flies. The rest of the house was clean and the linen/towels were also clean and well made. The other primary issue with the house was its someone odd design. It is two levels plus a basement. The top floor has three bedrooms but the top floor full sized bathroom is in the main bedroom. This means that whomever is in the main bedroom will have to share their bathroom. Alternatively, there is a smaller full size bathroom on the main floor where there is also one bedroom. That bathroom could be shared which means that people will be walking up and down the stairs through the main concourse to take showers. Also, both the main floor bathroom and the bedroom open up to the narrow main hallway which is right near the house door, the main living room and with a small wall between them and

Great location

We enjoyed our stay in Lake Anna. The house is right on the water and the dock is so peaceful. We had a large group and lots of food/drinks, unfortunately the garage fridge was locked up and we were not able to use it. The kitchen is small and is lacking some basic necessities. There is a camera on the dock and we felt like we were being watched while we were on the dock. Upon arrival, there were some mouse droppings in the basement on the floor and beds. Because of this, I am giving the house a 3 star review. Otherwise the house is great for groups and the garage was a nice hangout spot for when it was raining.

Very Disappointing Due to Property Being a Cat House

We were so looking forward to a fun filled stay at this house on Lake Anna, which had all the amenities for our young kids to enjoy; foosball, billiards, fishing, and kayaking. Unfortunately our stay lasted only one night due to severe allergies experienced as a result of the property having housed a cat, despite the house being advertised as a “No Pets” house. When selecting vacation homes, I take great care to select “No Pets” properties due to allergies. Just a few hours in to our stay at this property, my wife and son (whom are both very allergic to cats) started to experience allergies while playing billiards in the garage. I noticed a kitty litter box and supplies in the corner of the garage behind where my wife was standing, which confirmed my origin suspicions based on the smell of the home. We immediately contacted a Vacasa representative who admirably attempted to work with us to set us up at another house on Lake Anna. Ultimately, we had to check out at 10am the next morning and received only a partial refund (about half of what would have been a four night stay, after still paying host and service fees). We took great care to leave the property as we found it, clean, and with minimal turnover for the next renter. The kids were very disappointed, as were my wife and I. My advice to renters is to contact the property owner or representative first to confirm if a “No Pets” house truly means no pets.

Quiet cove

We loved the location and the amenities. The dock with covered patio and seating set up was great, fire pit and sand beach were a perfect touch. Beautiful nature and surroundings. Patio furniture could have been cleaned though. There was a lot of bird feces all around it, and power washing the deck and furniture before guests came would be more welcoming. House is large, with plenty of space for everyone to hang out. Kitchen is a bit on a smaller size, and outdated, broken hardware on drawers and cabinets, but well equipped with dishes. Appliances are newish and working fine, but kitchen cleanness is iffy. We all agreed that cleaning crew should pay more attention to opening drawers and cupboards and making sure there is no food funk left behind from previous guests. We found sticky utensils inside drawers and cabinets door were sticky from not being cleaned regularly. We had to wash all the dishes before we used it. There was a lot of spiderwebs inside home on high ceilings, and dining chair cushions were severely stained. Living room sofa cushions had sand in them etc. Bathrooms were clean, we were happy about that. We could have used more towels, and extra pillows for beds. Overall, we are happy with our stay, but these are some areas I would suggest to work on.

Perfect weekend

We had an amazing stay in this home. The check-in and out process was so smooth and easy, the host was communicative and very kind! We loved the home and the kids had a blast! Would definitely rent again and recommend to anyone!

Lake reunion

The house was very comfortable. It had all the outdoor equipment that we look for, kayaks, paddle boards and more. Nice dock with shade and close to the house. I’d like better equipped kitchen to cook for many people but it was manageable.

Great fishing trip.

Nice place with great location on the water for all our bass boats. Only suggestion would be make it 6 bed room by putting a real bed in the office area and get rid of the futon. No one wants to sleep on a futon!

Great place for a group

We enjoyed our stay! There were six of us (three couples) and we had plenty of room. There were a few concerns that we let the property manager know about and they said they would have those handled before the next guests, so if that’s true then the place will be perfect. We would definitely come back! There is a fireplace in the living room that we were excited about but there are instructions not to use it so that was a bummer, but otherwise it was fine!
