This was a beautiful cabin. We had 7 people and there was plenty of room. Loved the wood floors upstairs and the kitchen had enough room for people to cook and make themselves a snack. The beds were comfortable and we were ready for our daily excursions after a good nights sleep. Had a lot of fun around the kitchen table playing games and talking about old times. The hot tub was nice and we enjoyed being outside with the nature. The only negatives I would say is that the grill ran out of gas, the porch had several sketchy boards to step over, and there were six women on our trip so more toilet paper in the bathrooms would have been appreciated.
We had so much fun. The cabin was really nice. Secluded like we wanted. Saw some deer, wild Turkeys, gray fox, and a goat. No bears. We had group of 9 family members and 2 dogs. Beds were comfortable, air worked good, not enough bath towels but we managed. Washer and dryer. Hot tub was nice. Some days all 3 pools were full. We will definitely be back. We had a wonderful time. Didn't want to leave.
The house was accurately pictured and described. Property managers made sure to give a lot of details upon arrival. The house was not super clean and had some cobwebs and dust in places, but it wasn't terrible. Too few dishes and towels/washrags for a place that sleeps 12. An overall great experience and a great little getaway with family!
Overall, we had a great time. PROS:We really liked the location, The neighborhood was great, especially if you like to walk up and down hills! The property was beautiful. We loved the gated community aspect. The beds were extremely comfortable. We lost water at one point during the trip (I think a breaker popped), and management arrived extremely quick to fix it. The hot tub was fantastic.CONS:The refrigerator had a smell to it, making the whole upstairs stink. We had to open the windows to air it out upon arrival. The regrigerator needs to be cleaned. The whole place could actually use a good deep clean. Also, there wasn't a toaster and the kitchen wasn't as well stocked as other VRBO's that we have stayed at in the past. The pots and pans are very old and hard to cook with. The fire pit was the worst fire pit that we have seen. It could use a revamp. We would absolutely come back to this neighborhood association in the future, but would probably look for a different place to rent.
This property served our group well. The set up was great. Beds were comfy and air conditioning worked great for a very hot weekend. The resort is lovely. We felt safe yet our place was very private in a lovely setting and great location in proximity to the Burnside Marina. I do wish it had been cleaner. Floors and dishes and decorative pillows were not clean. We had to ask for more bath towels and wash rags as there were not enough for our group. The very bare minimum was provided in the kitchen and bathrooms which made a lot of packing and stops at the store needed for only a few days.
The cabin was very nice and had everything we needed My only issue is I thought we got a golf cart with the rental and not just access to a golf cart. Regardless we had an excellent time there and would definitely consider going back again.
The resort is up in the hills and very secluded. Woods surround the house and exactly what we want. The owner is very friendly and so helpful with everything. We especially love the homemade ice cream. I believe we tried all the flavors. It was so delicious. They also have homemade food, and we were very impressed. We canceled our Guthrie's Grill reservation and ate at the resort. It was the correct decision.
I booked this home for my daughter, son in-law, son, daughter in-law, 4 grandchildren and my husband and I. We had plenty of room for all of us. It wasnât as clean as I expected. We had to clean the floors and bathrooms. We enjoyed the pools. However, there were no public restrooms which we thought was strange. So even though the house wasnât terribly far, it inconvenient to go back to the restroom.
We had 5 adults for a New Years get away. The cabin was very nice, but could use a few doors for a little more privacy. More set up for a family with kids, the room with bunk beds doesnt have a door to the hall bathroom. Close to Cumberland Falls. We enjoyed New Years eve in Somerset. It was a great area and property management is amazing.
This property has everything you need to have a very enjoyable stay! It was very beautiful with all the fall leaves falling around us â€ïž Very spacious rooms and the âgame roomâ kept the kids busy!
Good property. Enjoyed our stay the house was in good shape need to make a few improvements to be great. Needs a 3rd bathroom (privacy for parents). Leak in kitchen messed up the floor lots of noise. Good hot tub needs work.
The house was awesome!
Definitely a place of peace and quite.
Close to town.
Nice hot tub.
Management was great.
Good communication and took care of what we need quickly.
Lake Cumberland, Big South Fork, and Cumberland Falls are all nearby.
Awesome place.
We had a great experience. Check in was quick and easy. The house had lots of room to spread out. My family (hubs, me, 5yo and 2yo) slept downstairs and my in laws slept upstairs. My daughter loved trying out foosball and darts. We ventured out to Moonbow Falls and Big Fork Scenic Railway.
Our family of 5 loved this house. It sleeps 12 so we were able to really spread out and enjoy all the space. Loved the Hot Tub the most. The Resort was very quiet and easy to relax!
We had so much fun at this cabin!! We loved the hot tub and the cooking on the fire pit! The Staff was extremely friendly, we had a issue getting the coffee maker to work and they answered us quickly and sent someone out to fix it for us! We will defiantly be back!!
Lake Cumberland Resort cabin was a very clean cabin. Coffee pot gave us a little trouble and ice maker struggled to keep up, but other than that the cabin and service was first class .. very clean and maintained. A very beautiful area. Great getaway ! Renos Restauarant in Burnside was AWESOME !
