Conveniently located to popular shopping areas and airport. Has much better pool facility than most hotels. Room was large, very clean, and bed was comfortable. Will stay again.

Great Experience

We booked this hotel room last minute due to a problem with the hotel we intended to stay at and were extremely satisfied. Large suite with two bathrooms, large bedroom, separate living room area with large table. Everything was clean and there is underground parking. Breakfast buffet was great and included with our room. Restaurant on site is also good. Customer care was evident with friendly staff.

Mis information

We booked the BestWestern Plus Port o Call last minute due to a misconnection of our flight that resulted in a forced overnight in Calgary. At 930pm I called the hotel to request their Airport Shuttle. On the booking platform it indicated that it operated until 10pm. The employee said that the shuttle was finished for the night however they would reimburse the cost of using an "Associated Cab". When we checked in at the hotel the night agent said we need to get the reimbursement completed in the morning. I also asked about the shuttle back to the airport in the morning and he said to just come to the desk when ready. The next morning we arrived at the front desk at 0903am to find out that the shuttle only operates on the hour and it had left. We were also told that in order to be reimbursed for the taxi that the driver needed to have the receipt validated by the desk agent and that the drivers know this. Well this driver obviously didnt know this as he only issued us a receipt. After much discussion they did reimburse the taxi fare and they called the shuttle who was able to come back to the hotel within 10 minutes to take us and other guests to the airport.

Very nice for an older hotel - went to lounge (confusing to get to) and was the wordy part had mold in my ice tea, and the nachos were not good for the price. staff was so friendly at check in. Also sucks that we could only go to the pool for an hour.

The room itself was okay. AC unit worked okay but was terribly noisy all night and if you slept in the Murphy bed you were freezing. The hair dryer handle was filthy and had a large chunk of hair dangling from it. Large spot on the rug looked like blood. Outside cover on Murphy bed had a stain on it. Unable to get water temp in shower to anything other than scalding. No safe in the room. Microwave so old it stopped rotating making a bag of popcorn purchased at the hotel so half was burned. The worst thing was the waterpark. It was way over filled with unruly young boys running amok. Very unsafe as kids had each other on shoulders in the pool area and right at slide exits with no one correcting. We went into the hot tub along with ten young boys splashing each other and diving into the water. This behaviour was never corrected by the deck person at all. We could not stay there for longer than a few minutes because we were being kicked and splashed with water the whole time. The two children with us were too afraid to even be in the pool due to this. Very disappointing. We will not be back to this hotel.

We chose this hotel because of the pool and proximity to the Calgary zoo. It was a trip with my mom and my 2 kids ages 5 and 2. My kids loved the pool although the pool heater wasn’t working when we were there so the water was pretty cold and the hot tub was more like normal pool temperature. It didn’t deter my kids though they had a blast regardless but was not as enjoyable for the adults. It would have been nice if staff communicated with us about the pool or offered something due to the inconvenience. We’ll likely stay here again but hopefully next time the pool is working.

This was one of the best hotels that ibe ever stayed in. The customer service was phenomenal over the 3 nights we stayed. The on-site restraunt and bar had excellent breakfast and dinner options, which tasted amazing. The pool was clean and well monitered. We travelled as a family of 6 and the room was spacious enough that we didnt feel cramped or on top of each other. Overall, this hotel has become our hotel of choice going forward qhen staying in Calgary.

We are returning customers at this property. It is a great location however it is extremely busy on weekends as it is a go to location for youth sport teams traveling for competitions. The hotel tries its best to manage this by having guests sign up for hourly time slots in the pool. The restaurants are great in all aspects

Hotel was clean and friendly. Pool heater was down for a few days, but was back up and running the day before we left. Some the the gym equipment was missing attachments so that kind of sucked. Breakfast buffet was basic but good, and coffee was always hot and delicious. If going to attractions (calaway park/zoo etc) check woth the front desk for reduced admisson tickets. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Fridges are quite small and freeze up easily so dont plan of storing groceries for long periods of time. You could wind up with frozen apples like we did! All in all a great stay.
