Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
I was really hoping this hotel would be a great choice, especially since we booked it for my birthday trip. Unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations, and I’m honestly just glad we only stayed for two nights.
First of all, the room had a strong damp smell that became even worse when the air conditioning was turned on, filling the room with a moldy odor.
In the bathroom, we found several oriental cockroaches and other insects, and there were spider webs around the TV and other areas of the room. To make matters worse, there was a half-empty water bottle left in the minibar, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The hotel itself appeared dirty and run-down (dirty carpets, damaged items in the room).
We reported all of these issues to the reception staff in the morning, but since our stay was short, no improvements were made.
It’s a real shame, because the gardens and the surrounding area are truly beautiful — the interior just doesn’t live up to the same standard. Even the pillows were extremely thin and soft, making it difficult to sleep comfortably.
The only positive note was the staff, who were consistently kind and polite throughout our stay.
Overall, I’m disappointed, especially because the hotel looks so nice in the photos. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
