Poor hotel resort on every level

The customer service from all staff members was a D! There were excuses daily! We checked out a day early! I’m waiting for a refund for 1 nights stay. I asked for management to call me and haven’t heard from anyone!! Poor!!! Do not stay at this hotel resort!

Pet friendly. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. We were missing a window covering from one our windows and had to use a towel for privacy and light block light. There was also a small ant infestation in our room. Probably from previous guests food crumbs. Not a dealbreaker, but woke up to ants crawling around us in the middle of the night. Luckily, they were non biting ants.

Beautiful location. 5 minute easy walk on boardwalk path to the beach. 10 minutes to Hearst Castle. Great shops and food options in Cambria. Linn’s shop’s & restaurant is a MUST! Room was nice and the bed so comfortable! It would be nice to have a folding luggage stand as the “closet” is small.

Our overnight stay at El Colibri was great! My husband and I loved it. It was quiet, intimate and located right off the Pacific Ocean, where a short stroll took us to the beautiful beach. Walking into the hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff, and didn’t even have to wait for our room which was ready for us to check in to even though we arrived 45 min early. Our room was perfect, clean and the view was very accommodating overlooking a wooded area. We could even hear the waves not too far in the distance which instantly instilled peace and relaxation. The bathroom was super clean and had all the amenities. The only thing we could complain about was the water pressure of the shower. It took a long time to rinse all the conditioner out of my hair, and my hubby usually prefers a stronger flow as well. Our bed was very comfortable, such that I didn’t miss my own bed at home. Loved having the fireplace on at night, and hearing the waves crashing in the distance. I didn’t have a hard time falling asleep at all. In the morning we had Starbucks coffee that was supplied in our room, and we were quite satisfied with the grab-and-go continental breakfast items provided in the lobby. We splurged on dinner at Madeline’s Restaurant in town, which was amazing as well, so we weren’t expecting to have an elaborate breakfast anyway lol The best part of our stay had to be the Signature Spa Treatment!! Linden was amazing and we couldn’t say enough about the experience she gave us. ❤️

I loved my stay here. I think it’s my new go-to. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location and room. They have a direct pathway that leads you straight to the beach. I can’t hype this place enough.

The room is not anything like the pictures at Expedia. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty which we realized once we got under the shower so we had to use shampoo to wash my body. The entry area was very dirty. Overall it was an ok hotel, but not the "exceptional" rating for which we chose it.

Whole thing was just wrong and what see on website was nothing there .No Hospitality at all ! No coffee or anything to offer when you arrive after long hours driving. No Breakfast at all when at their website says continental breakfast!! Water at shower not even enough to shower right. Big bug flies at window. Dirty and gross. Refrigerator small not able put more then 2 bottles of water.No microwave. Never back to this hotel again!!

No complimentary water offered with limited breakfast items. Coffee and Hot water only with prepackaged muffins and cereal. No milk to use for cereal. Also breakfast items not available for early birds. Needed to wait! Also no daily room service to make bed or receive fresh towels. They immediately alerted us that we needed to ask for fresh towels if we wanted them. If you are ok with that, the property is walking distance to main shops in Cambria and Moonstone beach.

Beautiful hotel walking distance to a quiet beach. Lisa the manager was so friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, well stocked and quiet. Plenty of space to pack underground. The spa can use a bit more supervision on cleaning and restocking, breakfast IS basic.

Great stay at El Colibri en Cambria. The hotel was small, quiet and cozy! Rooms were clean, nice & spacious! Price was very affordable. Close to gas & food. Location is also prime because it takes you straight to beach. I wish the spa area was better thought out. There’s only 2 massage rooms, 1 masseuse, a tiny little jacuzzi and 1 steam room. None the less, it was a pleasant stay and I would definitely book here again.
