I liked the property much. Lovely, interesting buildings; full of character. Very helpful staff and tasty breakfasts. Only problem was the bath which I found a bit slippery. I think it needs some kind of treatment to make it non slip. Otherwise very good visit.
A beautiful building in gorgeous grounds , lovely single en-suite room at a great price. Reception and dining room staff are lovely and very helpful. I highly recommend, especially for single travellers as plenty of single rooms available
Breakfast: just enough, should have been better, but the room: too poor. The ones showed at the website are totally different. It´s a fake publication.
Beautiful old building at the front provides amazing breakfast room but bedrooms are in more modern extention. The bedrooms are small but functional with basic facilities, tiny tv. Showers are very good and very clean.
We enjoyed our one night stay here. It is a beautiful place with stunning surroundings. The room was small and there was no lift. The breakfast was good. The staff were helpful and friendly.
What a stunning setting. As it is still part of Cambridge University the bedrooms are basically for students. The small double room we were in is basic but with beautiful linen, good quality towels and curtains.
The building itself and the gardens are wonderful to walk around and enjoy. Highly recommend. Use madingley park and ride to get into the city centre.
Madingley Hall has the wow factor. It’s such a beautiful building and grounds. Inside, rooms are repurposed student rooms (I assume) and are basic, but a good night’s sleep was had. Breakfast buffet was great. It’s not 5 star but for the price paid and the wonderful surroundings it’s a great place to stay.
Madingley Hall is a delightful if somewhat twisty-corridored place to navigate. Everything was as you would expect except for the disappointing breakfast, which had a satisfactory range of Continental or full English options but the cooked breakfast was lukewarm at 9, a time when most of the conference delegates had already finished and left for their programmes.
Excellent last-minute overnight stay. Lovely room in a magnificent, quiet setting and very good value. Beautiful gardens for a walk after dinner. Great breakfast before departure, just a shame we couldn't stay longer!
