This hotel is run down really badly. Lots of mold in the hotel and hotel is very dirty . Elevator unsafe and most days didn’t work. Also, there is a scam going on with trying to sign up people for share membership. People who are running the scam are tracking hotel guests down and trying to sell them this membership. Majority of stuff is unfriendly and always in bad mood. If you don’t tip them constantly you don’t get much of the customer service. Also there are not running any AC in the restaurants, lobby, hallways, or any other areas. The only area you can feel any AC is your room.

The staff was not friendly at all. Every time, we felt like they were just trying to deceive us. Initially, we were offered a presentation that was supposed to take 90 minutes, which was supposed to give us a 50% discount on tourist attractions. But in the end, it turned out that the operator gave anyone this discount, not 50%, but about 15-20%. When we asked the staff why they were fooling us with this, they tried to make us feel guilty about it. Then all the time, the staff treated every request as if we had come to their home, not an all-inclusive hotel. Also, on the way out, there was a very unpleasant situation. The transfer arrived much earlier than the scheduled time. The appointed time was at 7:00, the transfer to the airport arrived at 2:55. But the hotel staff did not inform us that the transfer had arrived, nor did they inform us that there was a transfer at all. We found out when we started asking them for this information. In general, I do not recommend this hotel for a hassle-free and pleasant stay.

My partner and I just left from the most magical week-long stay at Óleo Cancun Playa, and we cannot stop raving about it! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary unforgettable. Every single person we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely kind — from the front desk and concierge to the servers and bartenders. Special shoutout to the hospitality team who surprised us with a beautiful anniversary setup in our room – rose petals, champagne, and a handwritten note. We were touched! We stayed in the Inspira Junior Suite Oceanfront, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the turquoise waves each morning felt like a dream. The room was immaculate, modern, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The bed was heavenly, the AC worked perfectly, and we loved the chic design touches throughout. The drinks? Phenomenal. Whether it was cocktails by the pool, a glass of wine at dinner, or a refreshing smoothie in the morning, everything was top quality. The bartenders are true artists — friendly, attentive, and always ready with a recommendation or a custom creation. And let’s talk about the food! Every meal felt like a gourmet experience. We were impressed by the variety, freshness, and flavor at each restaurant. Óleo Cancun Playa offers the perfect balance of relaxation and boutique charm. It’s never too crowded, the vibe is laid-back but elegant.

7 day vacation. Check-in and check-out takes too long. One to two people to handle all guests coming in or out. This resort has some major safety concerns. Two small pools with no easy entry, only one ladder in each pool. One ladder has all the treads missing making the ladder to slippery to use. The other ladder has treads missing on bottom step. There are many uneven places in walkways AND no hand rails on some of the stairs going down to pools. The wooden stairs going down to the beach has a rickety handrail and uneven steps. The entertainment team smiles as did one waitress at the pool and the pool bartenders. Other staff did their job but in no way made you feel welcome, it was just a job to them. Pool side attendant, yes only one to serve both pools worked hard but could not get to you very often, not their fault but resorts fault for not having one for each pool area. The food was good. The rooms were very nice and also roomy. The beach was very clean. We have stayed in quite s few other resorts in Cancun and revisit them. We will not be back to this one which is a shame since the room was nice, room service quick (30 min) and restaurants had good food but the 2 small pools, safety concerns, and lack of hospitality leaves a less than nice experience. They have some work to do to bring it up to Cancun resort standards.
