The inside of the house was very nice and cozy. We were thrown by the looks of the outside of the house. Thought we were at the wrong place. The old saying "Do not judge a book by it's cover" !! Very pleasant stay !!!
Convenient location to Palo Duro Canyon and the City of Canyon. There are steps to enter the house and the first one is a large step up there is a study railing to hold on to. House was clean and decorated nicely. The cabin is older and is not well insulated, it does get very hot in the day due to the sun coming thru the windows and the fact that there are only window units in the bedrooms and a floor unit in the living room. The kitchen and utility room have absolutely no circulation. Not all burners work on the stove. There is plenty of Folgers coffee, paper towels dish soap etc and the utensils are good and well stocked. There are only enough chairs for 4 people at the table, there was 5 of us. Plenty of hot water. The refrigerator wasnât cooling when we first arrived but after a day was working fine. The beds are extremely soft with thick memory foam. The owners were very attentive and responded very quickly.
This was the BEST stay away from homeVery clean & comfortable it had every thing you would need including coffee! I would not hesitate to stay here again maybe longer next time! The host was very helpful and friendlyYou wonât be disappointed!
My son and I were traveling between San Antonio and Colorado Springs and looking for a place about halfway. Usually we stay in Amarillo. But this location was so much better. Close to Canyon and Palo Duro, and still not so far from Amarillo. Highly recommend.
Cute little two bedroom about 10 Mi away from the canyon. The place has everything you need for a cozy stay. Bonus is the gas stove for cooking bliss. The neighbor has a roadside stand where we picked up fresh eggs. The owner offered great local advice and were super quick to say hello when we checked in and asked a couple of questions.
A WOWZER of a trip and stay. The Blue Color is a sure giveaway when arriving and arrival instructions were perfect. Such a homey decor with two beautiful bedrooms. House reminded me of grandparents house and just felt RIGHT. We were there to enjoy the Canyon, but that was only a couple of hours, so we enjoyed a relaxing time. It is on a highway, but minimal noise which was great. Strongly recommend this beautiful house if visiting the Canyon, TX area
3 of us were passing through on a motorcycle trip and one of the guys wanted to see Palo Duro canyon and this house is at the corner of the road so it worked out, not a bad little home, nothing super fancy, just a clean little farm home. Very close to Canyon Tx for place to eat etcâŠwould stay here again
Cozy, attractive cottage 10 miles from the canyon.
Donât be fooled by the exterior - this home is comfy, nicely furnished and decorated. We were just passing through with a stop at the Palo Duro Canyon on way to Ft. Worth. A perfect mid-point stop from the Denver area.
We stayed at this property for two nights while in Texas to visit certain sites. It is nicely appointed in country farm decor. It was clean, bright and comfortable. The kitchen is adequately furnished.
Great property! Literally down the street from palo duro canyon state park and minutes from gas, groceries and great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again and the fenced in yard was perfect for the dog
This place could be nice. But its not! The yard was knee high in weeds!! So much dog poop! The ramp in the back was dangerous! No tv or network or internet! The host offered no help.
The location was perfect for our stay. We were in the middle of PDCSP and Canyon, so that was great. After a long day of hiking all I wanted to do was relax and watch some March Madness basketball but we couId not get the Wi-Fi to connect at all. All we were told was to restart the router but that never worked. Other than the Wi-Fi the stay was nice.
We are on a 5 week camper van trip, and this was our only stop where we didnât stay in our van. It was so nice to have space to move, a kitchen, washer dryer and fenced yard for the dogs. Super close to hike Palo Duro and we did a little shopping in town. Enjoyed a couple local restaurants too! The owner communicated well during unusual windstorms and aftereffects.
Had a wonderful stay. Only 10 minutes from the Canyon State Park and even less to town in case you needed anything you might have forgotten. Very quaint and had everything we needed to cook meals for breakfast and dinner
This cute house was comfortable and cozy! Beds were so comfortable giving us a good rest before long hikes in Palo Duro Canyon. I didnât read the listing close enough and didnât bring soap or shampoo. Oops. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils allowing us to prepare our own meals. I would def recommend!!
