This home is in a Beautiful location and has beautiful views. To start our trip off we had problems entering the home cause our code wasnt what it was supposed to be. We emailed the owner with no response, and I had to call VRBO to resolve.After entering the home we can automatically see that the house has been poorly maintained.The house was dirty and runned down. There was also food crumbs and chips on the floor and dust throughout the house. There was also a bundle of trash that included beer bottles thrown on the ground in front of the deck and the furniture smelled very musty. Tha garage was cool until we put the ac on and it started leaking water everywhere.Also if your a mom like me that does groceries to cook and save money... beware they only have 1 pan and its not one you can utilize cause it was so run down. I really dont feel like it was worth what I paid for this house, but we made the best of it.

Really loved this house! We are disappointed that we could never use the hot tub, even after having it serviced. We also wish the home would have been cleaner before we got there. The hosts were wonderful and responsive, I do want to make that clear.

My. Second visit

Arrived in the rain but settled out on the covered porch area and watched it rain one of my favorite things to do. By morning it was dry and sunny. This is my go to for a weekend away with friends but would be great for a longer stay or with children so much to do!

Perfectly peaceful hill country lake views

The property has a perfect out door deck with table and chairs grill and fire pit. Bring your little firw bundle and your binoculars for fabulous bird watching and deer sightings.The house was perfect for children and pets. Pots n pans including a huge spice rack. We will rwturn. Issues

Hot tub was cold when we arrived. Did not get to set-point for two days. I asked for a discount, they refused to provide one. There were no hangers in any of the closets. No kitchen cleaning products. Only a 1/3 of a roll of paper towel. Previous renters dog poop in the yard, empty beer cans under the deck. Thermostat very hard to operate. House needs general clean-up and repair.

Wonderful location and views. Game room was entertaining for teenage grandson and the Big kids. Morning coffee with fire on the deck and hot tub in the evening. Close to Wimberly and San Marcos outlet mall. Great Times!

Perfect for our weekend stay

We enjoyed a weekend away before Christmas and this house was perfect for our family. We all enjoyed the awesome game room, the house was spotless and well stocked with everything we needed. We did communicate with the host once, and the response time was great. Very happy with our stay here.

Fantastic family setting!

Our group had a wonderful time at this home. There was plenty of space for everybody to do what they wanted to do. Watch football or movies, play games in the garage, play cards and visit, stretch out and grab a nap. Our group had a wonderful Thanksgiving gathering at this property. The only problem we had was that the Keurig didn't work, which made the coffee drinkers unhappy. Fortunately, a friend had a basic 12-cup coffee maker we were able to borrow. The beds in the guest bedrooms were extremely low set, which made it really difficult to get up for some of us. I would highly recommend the property owner invest in standard

Great location and outdoor views! A few items require attention


When searching for a location for our family to stay for our recent trip to Wimberley, this listing met all the requirements. Great views, location, and amenities. Cleanliness & Pet Cleaning Fee: we travel with our small dog, and always expect to pay an added fee. It was evident that those who stayed before us also traveled with their dog, as we would find dog food, and dog hair that had not been swept. I spent time cleaning dog food and sweeping dog hair. When paying an additional $75 for a pet cleaning, you’d expect the home to be clean. The original cleaning fee is already a bit more costly than a few other homes we initially considered. It was also evident the cleaner avoids cleaning under the beds, specifically the queens-sized beds. They’re about a foot off the ground, and hadn’t been swept under in some time. This is an issue for those with breathing issues, and asthma. Amenities: The hot tub was not able to be used due to a high amounts of chemicals. The smell of chemicals and the foam caused by chemicals was overwhelming! This was one of the amenities that led to us choosing this home over others, and we couldn’t enjoy it. Also, bring your own darts! There were no darts for the dart board in the game room. When it rains, some of the doors leak. Not an issue, just be prepared for this to ensure no one in your family falls. This could be a great spot, it just needs some attention to cleaning and amenities. We appreciated the host’s responsiveness.

Perfect place!!

Stay at Canyon Lake

Truly enjoyed our stay at Canyon Lake! House was perfect for our family gathering to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation! Host was super helpful & quick to respond! Great place for the family

Lots to do in the hill country and we stayed busy. But the kids had a blast with all of the games available to play when we did have down time. Great home and area. Close to lots of neat places to visit. We will book again!
