From the very beginning, we didn't have a positive experience. After the hurricane, I tried to cancel our reservation but this was not allowed. They assured me that things were reopening all the time. Most places were open, but the experience of Cape Coral and the overall Florida area was not the same, as we expected.
When we were supposed to fly from Nebraska to Fort Myers, FL on Dec. 27 with our Southwest Airlines tickets, our flights were all cancelled and I tried at that time to cancel our reservation, and was told "no" again. We had paid $6200, so decided to drive 23 hours to Florida and pay $1600 for our Denver daughter and fiance to get a different flight.
We arrived to the house a day later than planned due to driving and were very disappointed in the house.
