Upon arrival the property was clean and waiting with a super easy, automated check-in process, no property manager to physically meet for keys or instructions. The home was as-listed with most of everything we needed for a month long stay.
One of the reasons we picked this home over others was the large pool (large by comparison) and it was plenty big for our family and occasional company too, probably 14x30 feet plus the hot tub which was easy to operate and heated up quickly for an evening dip.
The location was great, convenient to many amenities, shopping restaurants, parks, etc. However, Cape Coral is bigger than I had imagined so it did take a while to get from the house to the bridges leading to Fort Myers and Sanibel. Even still we went to the beach most evenings traveling as far south as Naples and north to Sarasota. Traffic is minimal and the neighborhood is nice - we went in several walks and used the complimentary bikes and kayak (inflatable) to explore and met nice people every time we were out.
The canal was a great feature, but during the dry season (we were there in June) the level can drop so much that it is impassable by boat (kayaks and paddle boarding was fine though. For that reason we didn't rent a boat to cruise the neighborhood, but maybe next time. Even still the canal was great for bird watching, fishing, and fun.
We would definitely stay again.
Maintenance - the two times we needed help it was a simple text or two and the matter was resolved.
The master mattress was marshmallow soft, not my thing, maybe it's just me.
Child Safety - we were traveling with our four year old and had some concerns about the pool and canal, but the patio doors lock easily and the lanai doors have raised latches so our little one couldn't let herself out to the back yard canal access.
