We enjoyed an idyllic adventure at the Beautiful Edge of the World bed and breakfast. Kurt and Caena were the ideal hosts. They provided us with a welcoming atmosphere into their home. The breakfasts provided were healthy and delicious. The setting on a coffee plantation enabled us to enjoy nature while relishing their warm hospitality.
The only challenge is that to reach the inn requires driving on unpacked roads. It was raining when we first arrived and our GPS stopped working. We called and Caena drove out to meet us and lead us to her home. The next day she led us out to the highway to ensure that we were familiar with the route. After overcoming this minor problem, we had a marvelous time at the Beautiful Edge of the World, which truly lived up to its name.
Kurt and Kana were wonderful hosts. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay with them! Kana made us a wonderful breakfast each morning. We got to try lots of tropical fruits they grew on their land, and the coffee was amazing. It was so peaceful and quiet, we could hear the waves from the few miles away the beach is. Kurt recommended some really good places to eat and beaches to go to. The sunset from the lanai was so gorgeous. The view was breathtaking. The bed was comfy. We also liked the water pressure in the shower. Also whatever soap they have for guests in the shower smells amazing and the shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel soft and look shiny. If we ever find ourselves back on the Big Island, weâre definitely going to stay here again! I would recommend The Edge to anyone and everyone.
Great ocean view from the large, comfortable porch(lanai). Wonderful breakfast! We had the smaller room but it was sufficient and the living room and lanai were very comfortable to hang out. Bathroom was not in room but just a few steps down the hall and large and private. Jungle road to get there is awesome. A little hard to find at night. Jungle noises, mostly frogs, in evenings was nice. Roosters at 3:30 am not so nice but we got used to it. I had thought from the write up on it that we had use of the kitchen but it didnât really feel that way but we did have our own small fridge to use. There were coolers and swim and snorkel stuff and beach chairs to use which was great. Easy access to good snorkeling and points south but a lot of traffic to go toward Kona. Overall it was a great place and we would stay there again. Nice hosts.
The owners, Kurt & Kana, are great hosts, providing your every need. The breakfast every morning was delicious with fresh fruit & ingredients from their farm as well as their own grown Kona coffee! We enjoyed our stay here!
Kurt and Kana were very gracious hosts with a wealth of experience and understanding of the Big Island. It was a pleasure staying with them and the other guests.
Definate feeling of getting away from it all. Amazing views. Fantastic hosts and hospitality.
Road is a little rough and might be hard to find in the dark. Had a great stay!
