As one of the most expensive homes on the island, we should not have had the issues we did. We did not have a hot tub for 2 out of our 5 day stay. When we raised concern, owner then claimed hot tub wasn't included, when it was clearly advertised. The elevator, needed for our parents, had an inch of sand on the floor (no one had cleaned).There was confusion when we finally arrived about whether we were even permitted to use the elevator, even though we had confirmed this with the owner before booking. Necessary items throughout the house didn't work or needed maintenance, including the oven which did not work for most of our stay. The private beach in front had construction and storm debris. We cut our foot on a buried piece of metal and there was a cinder block and rusty metal at the shoreline. If I could share photos here I would. We also had poor experience with the mgmt company Shally's. We confirmed our arrival multiple times in the days leading up to our trip. However on check in day, we were left waiting with our group of ten, including elderly parents, kids, luggage and cold groceries in the dirt, for a half hour because they were short on staff. I would encourage prospective renters to look up this property elsewhere and consider any critical reviews carefully. It has great potential but the house needs love, customer service from owner and management company needs big improvement, and the property needs to be checked over and better prepared for arriving guests.
