Chose this hotel because it was close to a nearby town. I saw the outside and thought, "It's ok, it's only two nights. I've stayed in a similar place and the room is a clean refuge from a seedy outside." Nope. I took my stuff and stayed at my brother's house. The bed sheets were draping down to the floor under the comforter and the pillows were just thrown on the middle of the bed. There weren't lampshades on the lamps--so just bare bulbs. There was a refrigerator, but it was warm inside. The room smelled a bit like curry since it's right next to the front office. The couple in the office were nice enough, and the guy said I'd have hot water in a few hours because he just installed a new boiler. So maybe it'll improve as they keep updating things. Not a total loss of a place, but I stuck out like a sore thumb and while I don't worry much, it probably did pose a safety concern.
