Winter break

What a great property!!! Location was perfect. Walking distance to the beach as well as to Carlsbad village. Walked every morning to get a cup of coffee and then a stroll on the beach. Home was nicely updated but could have used a refresh on some of the chair upholstery. Kitchen had all the needed dishes
especially wine glasses. Easy check in and check out process. Property manager was very attentive and provided great instructions. Will definitely be back.

We truly enjoyed the cleanliness comfort and location of this beach cottage. It was so beautifully decorated. All possible needs were anticipated and met. The communication with the property managers was excellent, easy and consistent.

Perfect!

The house was perfect for our family of 5! So clean and plenty of space - very nice to have all of the amenities of home. Location cannot be beat - just a block up from the beach entrance and quick walk to the village for all of the restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed the front deck and fire pit for evening relaxation and smores for the kids. Provided beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys were also a hit! Will definitely book again when we're in the area.

A fantastic place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay in Carlsbad. The house was just perfect. The inside was very comfortable and the outside was wonderful! We could see the Ocean from the deck using the many sitting areas including a firepit area. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to cook in. The bedrooms are small but comfortable. The added half bathroom was great as well! Service from the hosts at Haustay was fantastic! Great company! We hardly used our car since we were within walking distance of lots of great restaurants, the ocean, and also the train station. We enjoyed our walks each day on the walking path at the ocean. We visited San Diego by taking the train! Loved this! We had cool but great weather in February. We would love to come again! Five stars for sure!

Fantastic Property

Property was fantastic! The location to downtown and the beach couldn’t be beat. Easy walk to both. The cottage itself was just adorable. Comfy and clean! The size was perfect! Even though it was only a two bedroom the common areas were large enough for us to host a Christmas dinner with 9 of us there. I would highly recommend this property.

Best Stay ever!

The house was well stocked, and gorgeous. Great corner location convenient to Village yet quiet and peaceful. The beach view from the deck is wonderful and the fire pit at night was perfect for sunsets with cocktails & appetizers . Definitely a keeper for San Diego visits with the family

Wonderful stay

Great Location

We rented this house for a family vacation and we couldn’t have been happier with it. The location was wonderful. It was a short walk to all of Carlsbad’s restaurants and shops and a short walk to the beach. The house is located a block off the main drag so it was very quiet and relaxing as well. The house had all the amenities we could need including beach supplies for the kids. We also enjoyed s’mores around the fire pit each evening. We would definitely rent this house again if we ever go back to Carlsbad.

Must book!!

We decided to stay at this lovely beach cottage in Carlsbad to be close to friends who live on the area and loved every minute of our time here! The place is beautiful, well decorated, and stocked! We cooked in regularly and had everything we needed. We also have a 3 and 6 year old and they loved it as well. Quaint, but plenty of space for the 4 of us. We loved our evenings in front of the fire pit as well! Walked to restaurants and the board walk to beach access is so close, we did this a few times as well. My husband wasn't comfortable in the spring mattress, but I had no complaints and the mattress topper made it comfortable to me. We would 100% recommend this beautiful property and hope to stay again in the future when we are in the area!

Thanksgiving stay

Can't beat the location. Can see the ocean from the front deck. Coffee out there with the morning sun was the best. 2-3 blocks from restaurants, etc. A little limited on kitchen counter space but otherwise well equipped. Found a little trash under a living room chair. Check in/check out was easy. Would definitely recommend. The location in Carlsbad was PERFECT.

Perfect Stay for our family of 4

This place was really great. We are a family of 4. We stayed here for some relaxation, the beach and to visit friends in the area. It hit mark on all. Location: it is an easy five min walk to the beach down a ramp or a flight of stairs. It is also about three blocks to the start of all the nice Carlsbad restaurants and stores. We walked into town every day for a smoothie or a meal (or 2). Our three year old had no issues with the distance. There is a 7-11 about two blocks away which makes all the immediate needs right at your fingertips. The place itself is just like the pictures. It is really nicely decked out (like a Restoration Hardware catalog). We loved the fire pit to gather with friends or just our family and chat. All linens are on great shape and super comfy. All around, we could not have been happier. Even on the gloomy days of marine layer we had a great time as the open great room (kitchen, dining and living) was so comfy to just hang out and watch a movie.

Perfect Beach Bungalow

Loved the location, and decor of the unit. So close to the village and the beach. Very pretty curb appeal and great deck and fire pit that we used every night. My kids had plenty of room and the family room provided a cozy open area for all of us to hang out. Only wish it had its own Laundry but still worked out fine. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! Alicia was great and very responsive to all my questions!

This house was perfect for us. There were 4 adults and we had more than enough room. The fire pit was just awesome. You can sit by the fire pit and listen to the ocean. So peaceful. Very quiet neighborhood for being so close to the beach. Highly recommend!

Excellent Stay with Toddler

My husband, 14 month old, and I stayed at this property for several days. The cottage was perfect. It was easy to walk to the village restaurants and shops as well as the beach. The location was convenient and quieter since it was a few houses away from the main road. The gardens were gorgeous, and my toddler loved watching the dogs and people go by! Unfortunately we were told there wasn’t a high chair or pack and play on site (there ended up being a pack and play in a closet), so parents with little ones will need to plan accordingly. Otherwise it was a great place for families with young children because there was a full kitchen and laundry! We will definitely stay here again in the future; it will be even better with slightly older kids who require less stuff!

Location, Warm, and Charm

Staying here was an absolute pleasure! Alicia, the host, was helpful before, during, and after our stay. The check in/out process was easy and the house was clean and comfortable. There were 4 women in our group and we had plenty of beds and bathrooms for our needs. The linens were comfortable and there were plenty of bath and beach towels. We also had access to an umbrella and 4 chairs that we were easily able to carry down to the beach. The ONLY warning I would give is you will need to either bring or buy extra toilet paper. I consider this an essential, but there was only one roll in each bathroom to "start us off." There is no kettle for tea/coffee, but there were plenty of pots and pans and utensils and we were able to cook in the cottage twice. The bar cart with wine opener and cocktail glasses was a very nice touch!! Decorated comfortably and perfect for being cozy together...both inside and outside on the porch/fire pit. I DEFINITELY recommend this place and hope to return!

Great location!

We spent a week at this house and it had everything we needed. We walked to the beach and into Carlsbad Village daily. It was also close enough to Coronado, San Diego, and Laguna Beach for day trips.
