Quaint, clean, comfortable and fun little cottage! Very short walk to the beach! Our family of 4 would definitely stay here again. If you have light sleepers, consider taking earplugs or a sound machine for the bedroom closest to the road as the traffic is a tad noisy if youâre going to bed on the early side. Appreciated the quick communication with the host and the blackout curtains! Beds and linens were also comfortable!
The only-absolutely-minor as heck thing I could complain about is the bathroom door cant lock. Thats it. Lol. Its a perfect little spot to stay! And has just about anything you mightve forgotten you need in a cabinet or drawer! Love it, will stay here again
We absolutely Loved this place. The beach access is literally around the corner, oh and so is a little convenient store/cafe. If i had any questions i was able to message the host, who answered back quickly. Overall, the house was clean, the beds comfortable, and the stay enjoyable.
Communication with Emily was great! Only âissueâ we had was that some of the light switches didnât work, outlets didnât hold plugs & some interior doors didnât shut all the way. But nothing stopped us from enjoying our vacation.
We had an awesome family get away. The cottage was so cozy and a true blast from the past! The cottage reminded me so much of a house we rented every summer when I was a little girl. Everything was neat and clean and the description of the cottage was exact. The house was located near everything which was so convenient and just a short walk to the beach as well. Emily the host was wonderful to work with and answered me promptly when I had a question. Hopefully I will get a chance to come back soon.
We loved the house and location! Quick walk to the beach and the market just around the corner. The house had a good layout and most importantly, the beds were extremely comfortable! Would stay again!
We enjoyed our stay in early June 2024. The bungalow is on the north end, walkable to the main strip of Carolina Beach but not ideal without sidewalks. The beach is very close and accessible, a great location for beach access. Communication with the property manager Emily was great, she was very flexible and responsive. The bungalow itself is pretty sparse-no washer or dryer or dishwasher and not a lot of extras but very comfortable with a great front porch and spacious unfenced backyard.
Nice stay but maybe for a couple without tiny kids
Pros:
*location--literally one block over from the beach &minutes away from everything else.
*size--several rooms of various sizes.
*comfort--AC & heat worked amazing, hot water was HOTTTT, beds were clean & insanely comfortable.
*well stocked with dishes silverware for LOTS of eating & drinking.
Cons:
*quite a few of the windows don't lock & we didnt find out until the end of our trip. We had several valuables on us like jewelry, a camera, &our phones. Not to mention just general safety concerns. Made owner aware & they are contacting their contractor as they are brand new windows.
*old Apple Jacks & other floor trash. Place definitely hadn't been swept between stays. Globs of toothpaste in the sink, sand in the bed, Legos under & around the coffee table--only an issue because I sat my 1yo down & he was the one to find these things.
*upon entry, the blue bag of clean towels was just laying in the floor & the towels inside were still very wet. Not a huge deal because there is PLENTY of places to hang them to dry, it just took a minute because the house was quite cool (temp wasn't an issue, though).
*lots of pillows (not the problem) but not enough pillow cases in each room so we had to move things around.
*plugs outdated, at least in the bedrooms. Couldn't find a 3pronged wall outlet so not great for working on a laptop or using a portable printer for work. Cellphone chargers kept falling out of the plugs.
It sounds like a lot of cons but it wasn't bad, I swear. we hadfun
