Great, but small inconveniences

Stayed here after family elopement ceremony on campus. The room we had was great, but there was no mini fridge to store leftovers from dinner, no microwave, and no fans in the bathroom.

Our stay was very good and would have been excellent except our door (rm 418) was extremely difficult to open and close. (My wife was unable to do either.) The door was far too tight in its frame. We reported this twice to the front desk and were assured it would be taken care of. But nothing had been done by the 3rd day when we left. ( The room was otherwise fine.)

We had a divinetruth conference and hotel did not tell them ac was out until day before event. It was way too hot for 96 people! I do hope they get a refund since they did so much work putting this event together and attempting to make it comfortable for all. Also, the staff never refilled our water containers so that all could partake in cold water in the hottest part of the building! I say this in love since you got plenty of business from those of us who attended. I do hope this hotel gives the love back to the people who deserve it. Thank you.

I had disappointing experience at this property. From the start, things went wrong. I booked a two-queen room but was given a single king, which forced me to go back to the front desk with all my luggage. The reassigned room was located directly next to extremely loud equipment, making it difficult to relax. Over the course of four nights, housekeeping never came by once, despite repeated assurances from staff that they would address my concerns. Each time I raised issues, I received the same “we’ll take care of it” response, but nothing was ever actually resolved. This reflects poor follow-through and management. Basic expectations—getting the correct room, a reasonable level of quiet, and housekeeping—were simply not met.

Mercy at the front desk welcomed us in and she was really great! Property is in good condition and we liked the breakfast and the attached restaurant where we were able to catch some sporting events. We were visiting UNC Chapel Hill and it was really convenient to that location. Lots of bars/restaurants and some shopping but not much else to do there! Our room was ok, but some things were less than perfect (may be ok for others). The beds are firm and my husband and I struggled with back/hip pain (my daughter loves a firm bed and appreciated it). The bathroom was super clean but it gets super steamy/hot and it set the smoke detector off. Shower bar and toilet paper holder need repairs, had to push both up every time using to make it work. Didn’t love the parking in the area and it was $20/night for hotel guests which was a bit off-putting since you can only park 4/5 floor of the attached parking garage, thought that was a little steep when the garage was mostly empty…Staff was very pleasant and accommodating, it was a decent stay!
