Perfect stay for our visit! Great location as not too far from Leavenworth. Hot tub was amazing. Place is huge, lots of room and had everything we needed! Easy and simple to find if you just follow google maps! Check in and out was super smooth. Would stay here again!
Overall, a perfect place to stay. Weâve been to many cabins and things, but we were happy with this house. First, let me say it wasnât perfect, it is an older house. However, it was probably the cleanest house my family has stayed in for vacation. The oven and microwave looked brand new on the inside. Positives: location is perfect for heading into Leavenworth. Itâs about 10 minutes to a Wal Mart and Wal Mart did delivery!! The kitchen is very well stocked. I think it had every gadget. There was plenty of space to spread out for my teen girls and us. The view was spectacular and really we felt like we had our own private river retreat. Now for negatives: basically no WiFi. Itâs there it just doesnât work. They did have Directtv though. It was only in the main living room. The driveway wasnât bad just be sure to use Google maps. Apple Maps led us to a treacherous place. Temperature was difficult to regulate. We couldnât seem to get it to stay comfortable. The train does run a couple of times a day but it didnât bother us. The orchard workers were kind and not loud. The beds were so-so but very clean. The dishes did need some rewashing as they had a film. The owner communicated quickly and answered any and all questionsâthose I had before we arrived and while we were there. We would stay again. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise.
As the listing said, this is a working orchard - a mile down a driveway/road through the orchard is a beautiful setting, and the house is at the end of that driveway, near a shed and orchard equipment. Immediately behind the house is the river, which is a really beautiful addition to the scenic setting, with the high hills around the river valley as well! The house is very clean and well-appointed, and it was a great home-base for us, both for skiing (Mission Ridge and Stevens Pass), and for visiting Leavenworth... highly recommended!
We stayed with our family and enjoyed Christmas together! The house was amazing had extra of things and was very clean and easy to find what we needed. It was very comfortable!
Google maps took us in the wrong direction. Hard to see the small address sign at night. Driving into the orchard at night was a little frightening. When we pulled up to the home it looked a little outdated. Once we entered, wow! Clean, modern and cozy. The only issue we had was the amount of large flies. Over the course of our stay Iâm sure I killed at least 30.
Arrived a little past 4pm. All 3 rooms had unmade beds. Laundry on the couch, hair on the shower walls & drains, dirty toilets, dirt all over the floors, & just general uncleanliness. Immediately called the owners & texted pictures. They owned it (kudos) & said they mustâve missed our booking, and they would call the cleaning company. They later said they would be over to clean & would purchase new bedding (another kudos). We later received a text letting us know they were done and that they refunded our cleaning fee (thank you). We felt happy with that - everyone makes mistakes, own it, fix it, and move forward. The problem was, when we returned, the house still wasnât clean. There was still hair wads in the shower, dirty floors, a used ponytail holder on the rug (indicating they hadnât been vacuumed), and indications the bathrooms hadnât been cleaned. We are overall disappointed by the experience. We wouldnât stay here again or recommend it.
lovely location in the orchard. the home was very clean but the outside needed to be swept and the webs brushed off the house. some screens on the window would be nice so we could have opened a window or two when it got warm.
Description is accurate but not complete - disappointing
Home is not 'newly renovated' as stated and felt very neglected and outdated. Spaces we relatively clean, but heavily worn. Kitchen was ill-equipped and the master bedroom was notably missing a fire alarm. We had to extricate several large spiders from the front door and bathroom upon arrival, which added to the feeling of neglect of the space. This house is also not just 'in' an orchard but is right next to/part of the central working/meeting location for the field workers, including their port-a-potty which is the very first thing that greets you upon arrival to the property. Others have commented on how during the harvest season, work begins as early as 5am. The pump for watering the crop is also located right next to the house, causing a great deal of noise and odor to the surrounding area. There is also no ready/easy access to the riverfront, and the home is right across a narrow portion of river from a very loud and active railroad track. This may be a more enjoyable stay in the off season, especially if you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head and not somewhere you're looking to lounge around in for a cozy, lazy weekend with friends/family, but we found it very disappointing and pretty quickly opted to find alternative arrangements.
Property was great for what we wanted, a quick, quiet getaway from everything. The only negative would be access to the river. I thought since it stated house on the river, we would be able to access river easily, but found no entry from where we were at. The pump next to back porch was a little loud if you were outside, but you couldn't hear it from inside the house.
The house was big and spacious, super clean and everything worked. House has been upkept very well.
I would definitely stay again!!
The home is quiet, comfortable with beautiful views. The orchard was fun to walk through. The views were breathtaking if you like nature. I would have loved to take my mom to the river-needed better access.
The house is perfectly set back against the river on a very large pear and apple orchard.
What we didn't know at the time of our arrival is that the orchard employees start their workday around 5am and park right outside the house. They were all very pleasant and finished their day early, but it was a bit of a shock being woke up that early on vacation.
They also ran the irrigation system near the driveway which wouldn't be a big deal, but you have to be quick to get out of your car as to not get soaked as soon as you set foot outside.
The house itself was very clean, the bed we slept in was comfortable and the master bath is amazing.
The price definitely reflected the issues listed and based on price as well as cleanliness, we would definitely stay again... maybe not during the hottest days of summer though.
Beautifully remodeled, very clean, well stocked home. Large covered back porch with large hot tub and wonderful riverfront scenery. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is on an active orchard, however there was plenty of privacy and everyone we met were so nice. The basket of cherries on our front porch Saturday morning was a delicious surprise too! Yum! We'll be back.
Our family lives on the east and west sides of WA. Perfect location for meeting on Motherâs Day weekend. We enjoyed the 2 dining areas and large kitchen for cooking.
Gorgeous property with large livable house. Hot tub was great everynight, watching the rover flow by.
This is a working farm orchard with employees on and around the property and house, though. So be aware during the day there could be people near by
We enjoyed our stay in the orchard house. Inside the house was clean, spacious and well apportioned. We loved the covered back deck overlooking the river. Although it has a nice hot tub, we never used it.
As stated in the listing, it is a working orchard and we were there during cherry harvest. Although that did not make for a quiet, peaceful stay, especially in the mornings, it made for an educational experience for my dad and husband who would go out to watch and ask questions before we'd head out for the day. The owner and his family were very nice and took time to discuss their farm business. They even gave us enough cherries to last us the week we were there, with some to take home. A bonus for sure! I've never had such fresh, tasty cherries. Jacqui was very responsive as well whenever we had a need. The house is in a great location between the towns of Cashmere and Wenatchee, and was a good home base for our explorations.
Our stay at this property was wonderful!! Itâs a beautiful location. The house was clean and it had everything we needed - I was impressed with everything they provided! There were plenty of towels, bedding/blankets and dishes. We had adults in every bedroom, and the kids slept on the sofa bed, but because there are two living rooms, the adults were able to stay up and visit after the kids went to sleep. If weâre ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again!
