Pleasant country hotel

La Lanterna is a modern 3* hotel located on the outskirts of Castelnuovo, about a 15 min walk from the town centre. It has a good public restaurant, a separate breakfast room and a swimming pool. Rooms are spacious and comfortable…my bathroom had a whirlpool bath. The staff were friendly and the food good. There were a couple of niggles: neither of our rooms had a working safe and the fridges had been removed, which was a pity. That aside, we enjoyed the stay, thought it good value and would return again.

Little gem

We spent two weeks in this great little hotel. It was great value for money with an excellent restaurant serving local food and wine. We visited Pisa, Florence , Lucca , Viareggio and Torre del Lago. It is a great location for seeing Tuscany . For people who want a good family run hotel this is the place.

La tranquilla lanterna

Abbiamo fatto base alla lanterna per girare in Garfagnana e in Media Valle. La scelta è ottima perché la posizione è centrale. In hotel tutto bene e il ristorante annesso è veramente buono. Unica cosa: c'è stato un problema all'aria condizionata che non ha funzionato per alcuni giorni e il frigo in camera non andava. Non è stato tenuto conto di questo disagio...

Chambres tout à fait correctes dans cet hôtel assez grand. Le petit-déjeuner n'a rien de fameux alors qu'il paraît que le restaurant est plutôt bien, mais nous n'avons pas pu tester car nous sommes arrivés trop tard pour le dîner.

tranquillo hotel in garfagnana

l'hotel si presenta benino e con un ottimo ristorante . c'è una bella piscina che possiamo sfruttare. il letto personalmente non l'ho trovato comodissimo e un pochino di manutenzione in più da qualche parte non sarebbe stata male. la zona e tranquillissima e c'e il parcheggio disponibile gratis

Il bagno (nella fattispecie il water) era talmente attaccato al muro che non ci si poteva sedere e come se non bastasse hanno attaccato vicino il dispenser della carta igienica rendendo quindi impossibile sedersi. Inoltre la pulizia lasciava un po' a desiderare. Alla colazione c'è il distributore automatico per caffe, cappuccino ecc ma se lo si desidera si può richiedere il cappuccino fresco, non capisco il motivo di questa scelta è ovvio che il distributore non produce lo stesso cappuccino !!!!

Dont EVER go there!

We are usually not so picky with hotel but this was the worst we have ever experience. Im not even going to explain how bad it was. Just take my word for it. DONT GO THERE!

Hotellet er sådan set fint, fint pool-område. Men det ligger i et yderst kedeligt område i Garfagnana dalen. Find hellere et hotel i Barga.
