This is our second time to stay here. We stayed 1 week 14 of us. Itâs great for a larger group. Best thing is sitting on the front porch drinking coffee looking at the lake. I didnât give 5 stars because the toilet paper in the house was 1 ply and not stocked and one of the toilets was backing up.The master bedroom toilet seat was cracked and the railing on the back stairs was loose. Since we stayed 2 years ago same month it seems like it has not been kept up. The kitchen has been updated since we let stayed and it looks nice. Overall this is a great place , we stayed here again because itâs very nice. One suggestion would be to put a ceiling fan in the living room instead of a really bright light.
We had a wonderful time at this house. It was perfect for families who want their own space but also have common areas to accommodate meals and fun together. The area was beautiful - lots to explore around the finger lakes. Host response was excellent and it was exactly as described.
We enjoyed this house. It was big enough to give everyone their own space, while also having many areas to all be together! We especially liked the large dining table with plenty of chairs. Sometimes you go to these rental houses and do not have this! This kitchen is well stocked with all the cookware you need to actually cook healthy meals, which we really appreciated. We enjoyed the fuse ball table and hot tub!
This house is a good home base to then go out kayaking, hiking, biking, fishingâŠ..and the view of the lake right down the street is amazing. If you are able, walk down to the little park at sunset. What a beautiful site!
The Osprey Manor is a great place for a family vacation. We had no problem sleeping 11, but almost more importantly, we had no problem fitting 11 people around the dinner table. The large kitchen was also great for appetizers while encouraging the cooks on. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
Charming home, well kept. Lots to do at the Finger Lakes besides the wineries, boating, swimming, great restaurant, shopping and absolutely beautiful surroundingsâșïž
I loved sitting on the front porch in the evenings watching the sun set over the lake. The kitchen was very well stocked. The property manager was responsive to our concerns.
Great spot for a family gathering. Lots of games and activities in the house. Reasonably remoteâ not even a small shop or cafe in town â but accessible to bigger towns with lots of amenities. The mattresses are quoted aged â bring air mattresses or floor rolls if you have a bad back. And only 2 showers for the whole house, which got a bit tight at times.
We were 4 families that rented the Osprey Manor for a weekend at Cayuga lake to view the Solar Eclipse in its path of totality on April 8, 2024. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old house... the walk to the lake and the view of the lake from the front of the property were lovely... We especially enjoyed the lovely reading nook upstairs with a view of the lake, and many of us spent time sitting there reading books, or chatting with each other in the glow of the evening sun! The kitchen is very well equipped to make quick meals and have some wine. The host (owner) is very friendly and responsive and was always available to answer questions about turning on heaters or appliances, etc., He also allowed us a late checkout so we could stay on the premises to view the eclipse (the point of our whole trip), and then hit the road... Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the house and the Cayuga lake area, and definitely hope to be back sometime in the future!
Three generations of our family had a good week at the house at Cayuga Lake. It is older and very big and on a nice plot of land. The house was fun and the grandkids loved the air hockey and foosball tables and the three arcade games. The large dining room was a big plus. But there were a few issues. The lights blink several times a day. Two of the common rooms need much better lighting. The new en suite has a nice tub, but no shower, and the new raised floor is a trip hazard. The small town park across the street provides lake access for fishing and maybe launching a kayak, but the tiny beach is not serviceable. In order to go swimming we had to pile in cars and visit one of the state parks nearby.
This home was lovely and the host was extremely helpful. Loved every minute of our long weekend here. Easy trip to Hobart William Smith for graduation weekend. Would recommend for all events!
This is a lovely old house with a lot of unique characteristics and plenty of space for a big group. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need. And itâs a lovely location. It just needs a little TLC.
The property was very spacious. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The location was excellent for visiting nearby towns and the wineries around Cayuga Lake and Seneca lake. The hot tub was cycling, but we could not get the jets to work, so we did not really use the hot tub. Also the master bathroom does not have a shower, only a soaking tub.
We rented this house for the space and it did not disappoint. We had 14 people and everyone had a bed (or pull out sofa couch). The bedrooms are well laid out to maximize the space. We had so much fun exploring the house. It's a perfect location and, seriously, a perfect house. We would all come back! Oh, and the communication with the owner was top-notch. Highly recommend!!
This property is literally an ESTATE and is so beautiful. Perfect for family or friends lake week. It is an old house that is renovated and is so charming! Property manager got back to me right away. A few things didnât work right- the propane fire pit. The jets on the hot the worked but the plug sometimes tripped. Besides that would recommend this for anyone looking to get away for a relaxing chill week at the lake.
